Kate Hudson Risks It All in Tod’s Dress With Daring Cutouts & High Slit

Kate Hudson just proved that orange is the new bold. Attending the “Marty, Life Is Short” premiere in Los Angeles, the actress turned heads in a striking suede gown. While the vibrant color was enough to catch eyes, it was the “blink-and-you’ll-miss-it” architecture of the dress that truly stole the show. Hudson managed to look both effortlessly elegant and incredibly daring, cementing her status as a red-carpet risk-taker.

Kate Hudson’s Tod’s dress comes with massive side cutouts and dangerously high slit for premiere

When Kate Hudson stepped onto the red carpet at the “Netflix Is a Joke” festival, she brought the heat. The actress chose a mustard-orange Pashmy suede dress from the Tod’s SS26 collection. From the front, the gown looks like a classic, high-neck column dress. However, as soon as she turned to the side, the “risk” factor became very clear.

The dress features massive side cutouts that expose her entire back and the sides of her torso. To add more drama, the gown includes a dangerously high slit at the back, showing off her toned legs and classic black pointed-toe pumps.

While the original runway look suggested an accompanying orange leather coat, Hudson ditched the outerwear for the event. This was a smart move, as without the coat, the full impact of the open-back design was on display. It allowed the rich suede texture to pop against the dark backdrop. She completed the ensemble with stunning David Webb jewelry, featuring beaded hoop earrings and a collection of gold rings, including a Diamond Tip Hammered Gold Pipe Ring and a Crossover Cubist Ring.

Hudson’s glam was kept sleek to let the dress do the talking. She wore her hair in a low, textured ponytail with a clean middle part. Her makeup was glowing and natural, featuring soft peach tones that complemented the orange hue of her outfit. Stylists Mariel Haenn and Rob Zangardi certainly knew what they were doing.
