Was ex-Prince Andrew shut out of Princess Eugenie’s baby news?
The report claimed Eugenie chose to distance herself from Andrew amid his ongoing scandals and public scrutiny. Sources alleged she did not immediately want him involved in the major family announcement.
Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, are currently expecting their third child together. The couple already have two sons, August, 5, and Ernest, 2.

According to the report, Eugenie also delayed telling Buckingham Palace about her pregnancy. Zara Tindall was reportedly one of the few family members trusted with the news early on.
The outlet claimed Zara later encouraged Eugenie to formally notify King Charles. “The Palace became involved in issuing a formal proclamation only after Eugenie’s cousin Zara Tindall persuaded her to write to King Charles,” a source reportedly said.
The insider added that Eugenie and Brooksbank feared a “frostier reception” from the monarch because of Andrew’s controversies. Instead, they were reportedly surprised by the warmth of the Palace’s response.
Buckingham Palace later released an official statement confirming the pregnancy. The statement said Eugenie and Brooksbank were “very pleased” to announce they were expecting another child this summer.
The Palace also shared that August and Ernest were excited to welcome another sibling into the family.
Eugenie celebrated the news on Instagram as well. She posted a photo of her sons holding a sonogram image. “Baby Brooksbank due 2026!” she wrote alongside several heart emojis.
Meanwhile, Andrew’s relationship with the royal family reportedly remains strained. King Charles removed his royal titles in 2025 following renewed scrutiny connected to Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew has repeatedly denied wrongdoing tied to previous allegations against him.
Reports also claimed the duke was forced to leave Royal Lodge earlier this year before relocating to a smaller home on the Sandringham Estate.
