Netflix Cut Melania Trump Joke from Kevin Hart Roast — Report

Melania Trump reportedly became part of one of the jokes that never made it into Netflix’s latest celebrity roast special. “The Roast of Kevin Hart” streamed live from the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on Sunday night. It featured a packed lineup of comedians, athletes, and actors taking turns roasting Kevin Hart in front of a live audience.

Melania Trump’s joke reportedly didn’t make it to Netflix’s ‘The Roast of Kevin Hart’

According to a comedy writer involved in the production, several jokes were cut from the final version before it aired. This included one comparing comic Tony Hinchcliffe to Melania Trump. The special, led by roastmaster Shane Gillis, delivered the usual mix of brutal punchlines, celebrity digs, and personal insults.

One of the night’s standout moments came via Tom Brady. The retired NFL quarterback aimed at Hart while referencing the comedian’s past cheating scandal. “All right, this won’t take long, because, as you guys know, I’m a busy man,” Brady joked during the show. He then pivoted toward Hart’s widely publicized 2017 controversy involving infidelity in Las Vegas. Meanwhile, Dwayne Johnson mocked Hart during his appearance. He joked that Hart’s wife deserved “an Academy Award” for pretending to enjoy sleeping with him.

After the roast aired, comedy writer Madison Sinclair, who reportedly worked behind the scenes writing material for several participants, revealed some of the jokes that were ultimately cut from the show. Among them was a line directed at Tony Hinchcliffe that referenced Melania Trump and her husband, Donald Trump. “Tony is like Melania. The only thing relevant about him is that he opened for Trump once,” the joke read.

Another scrapped joke targeted Hinchcliffe’s controversial driving record and personalized license plate. “Tony has the license plate iRoast, which is what we all hope for every time he gets behind the wheel,” the joke reportedly said. Netflix’s live roast special used the same uncensored style that helped The Roast of Tom Brady become a viral hit two years earlier.
