Elon Musk Slams Elliot Page’s Achilles Role Rumors in The Odyssey

Elon Musk calls out Elliot Page’s Achilles role rumors in The Odyssey on his X account. Page reunited with Christopher Nolan after previously working with the director on the 2010 sci-fi action heist feature Inception. Notably, there is no verified information on Page’s role in the film. However, there are rumors circulating on the internet that Page will be playing the ghost of Achilles in The Odyssey.

Elon Musk thinks Elliot Page’s Achilles role rumors in The Odyssey is the ‘dumbest’ thing

Elon Musk has a strong reaction to Elliot Page’s Achilles role rumors in The Odyssey. An X account, UnHerd, posted, “Over the weekend, online reports suggested that Achilles might be played by trans actor Elliot Page in the new film adaptation of The Odyssey. The idea isn’t as outrageous as it seems.” UnHerd shared the link to an article. Musk promptly replied to the article, stating, “One of the dumbest and most twisted things I’ve ever heard.”

Musk’s comment garnered 58K likes, 2.3K reposts, 1.4K comments, and 336 bookmarks. Nolan frequently collaborates with his past collaborators, and it comes as no surprise that he might have possibly recruited Page to play the role of Achilles. Although there has been no official announcement regarding the same.

The Odyssey’s latest trailer shares a brief glimpse of Page. However, the details surrounding his character remain under wraps. It is also not the first time Nolan has tried to keep a character under wraps. He previously tried to keep Marion Cotillard’s character under wraps for The Dark Knight Rises. However, the internet found out ahead of the film’s release (via Movie Web).

Previously, Page made an appearance at the X-Men: Days of Future Past panel at the 2025 New York Comic Con. He reflected on his working relationship with Nolan and gushed over the ace filmmaker. Page shared, “I loved working with him on Inception and loved being a part of that movie. I was just completely jazzed and excited, and I basically went and met with Chris and talked about the part, then sat in a room and read the script. It was such a joy to come back (via Variety).”
