Candice King and Steven Krueger recently had their first baby, and with that, “The Vampire Diaries” actor’s family got a little bigger in the sweetest way. King, who was already a mom to two, and her husband welcomed their first child together — a baby boy named Arlo Dominic Krueger — on May 3. The actor shared the news in a sweet and heart-melting Instagram post. She announced, “Welcome to the world our sweet boy… ? Arlo Dominic Krueger ?,” adding, “Born May 3, 2026 at 2:56pm. We are so in love.”

Candice King announced her first baby with Steven Krueger with a sweet photo showing Arlo holding his father’s finger. And almost immediately, King’s “The Vampire Diaries” costars flooded the comments, including Nina Dobrev, Sara Canning, Sebastian Roché, and Claire Holt — all sending love and congratulating the couple.

The newborn marks a new chapter for King, who already shares daughters Florence and Josephine with her ex-husband, “The Fray” guitarist Joe King. She and Krueger started dating in 2023, and Krueger proposed in May 2025. When they found out they were expecting, they reportedly scrapped plans for a big fall wedding and eloped instead, tying the knot in an intimate 15-guest ceremony in Tennessee this past February.

Back in December, the couple told PEOPLE exclusively that a baby was on the way while they relished a babymoon in Aruba. King admitted she loved every second of surprising their friends and family, stating, “We’ve known the news for a while now, and it’s been such a joyful experience getting to surprise and share our happy news with friends and family.”

She quipped, “I think my daughters were relieved to understand why Mommy was suddenly belching constantly and eating unusual amounts at weird times.”

Additionally, the pregnancy brought very human and very relatable moments for King. She craved fruit nonstop and felt seasick throughout her first trimester. She also cried happy tears while filming the moment when her daughters learned they would get a baby brother. And now, Arlo is finally here, safe and sound.
