Donald Trump recently took to social media to share a video, flexing his golf skills while taking a subtle jab at U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy of Louisiana. He recently lost his position to Congresswoman Julia Letlow. The news comes a few days after Trump openly criticized Cassidy, calling him a “disloyal disaster,” after the latter had earlier voted to convict the president during his second impeachment trial in 2021.
Donald Trump posts a video of his golf ball ‘hitting’ Bill Cassidy
Donald Trump shared on Truth Social, displaying his golf skills while mocking Bill Cassidy at the same time. In the clip, the POTUS, wearing his golf outfit, hits the ball, which travels a long distance before the footage cuts to a scene where it appears to seemingly hit Cassidy on the head. Before the hit, Cassidy is seen appearing to explain his reasons for voting to convict the president. The video later shows Trump doing a fist bump with another individual, while a voice in the background says, “Oh my God,” in a humorous tone.
A few days back, Trump took to Truth Social to slam Cassidy over his 2021 move. He wrote, “Senator Bill Cassidy of Louisiana is a disloyal disaster. His entire past campaign for the Senate was about ‘TRUMP,’ how he’s with me all the way, and then, after winning, he turned around and voted to IMPEACH me for something that has now proven to be total ‘bullshit!'”
Trump further continued, “He knew that at the time, but didn’t care. Bill Cassidy is a sleazebag, a terrible guy, who is BAD FOR LOUISIANA.” The president hoped that Cassidy would lose out on the big election, as he endorsed Letlow, encouraging voters to choose her.
Trump assured that Letlow would never let anybody down and further expressed his “LOVE” for Louisiana, appreciating the state’s support that helped him win there all three times. He also said he was surprised by the level of support, given Louisiana’s “big time and ‘storied,’ political past.”
