Joe Rogan Says Democrats May Benefit From Donald Trump Backlash

Joe Rogan believes the political pendulum could swing again by the next presidential election. The podcast host recently suggested that dissatisfaction with some of Donald Trump’s policies may create an opening for Democrats to reclaim the White House in 2028.

The comments marked another example of Rogan publicly distancing himself from positions he once supported, particularly when it comes to the ongoing conflict involving Iran.

During a recent episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” the longtime commentator pointed to what he described as growing frustration among voters over Republican policies.

“People look at what’s going on right now with the Republicans,” Rogan said. Referencing the conflict in Iran, he added that the issue was “extremely unpopular” and cited polling that he said showed support hovering in the low 30 percent range.

From there, Rogan offered a prediction about what could happen next. “So the Democrats come along, you know, and they win in 2028,” he said as reported by RadarOnline.com. “And then you have these ideas pushed forward because people want something different than what you have now.”

The remarks stand in contrast to Rogan’s position during the 2024 election cycle, when he endorsed Trump. Many political observers credited that endorsement with helping the president connect with younger male voters.

Since then, however, Rogan has repeatedly questioned some of Trump’s decisions. One issue that appears to frustrate him most is foreign intervention. “He ran on no more wars,” Rogan said during a previous podcast episode. “This is why a lot of people feel betrayed.”

The comedian argued that voters were promised an end to overseas conflicts and suggested recent developments have left some supporters disappointed.

Rogan has also taken aim at elements of the MAGA movement itself. Last month, he described himself as “politically homeless” and criticized what he sees as blind loyalty within partisan politics.

Despite those comments, the relationship between Rogan and Trump has not completely cooled. Earlier this year, Rogan appeared at the White House alongside Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as Trump signed an executive order aimed at advancing research into psychedelic-assisted mental health treatments.

At the event, Trump joked that Rogan was “a little bit more liberal” than some of his supporters.
