Vanessa Trump took to Instagram on Wednesday, May 20, to announce her breast cancer diagnosis. “I want to share a personal health update. I’ve recently been diagnosed with breast cancer,” she wrote in the post. Vanessa further revealed that she is “working closely” with her “medical team on a treatment plan.” She also shared that she “underwent a medical procedure earlier this week.” “I am staying focused and hopeful while surrounded by the love and support of my family, my kids, and those closest to me,” she mentioned. Vanessa further asked for “privacy” as she focuses on her “health and recovery.”
Her announcement quickly drew support from her family members and online supporters. US President’s eldest daughter Ivanka Trump commented, “Praying for your continued strength and a swift recovery. Love you mama.” While her teen daughter, Kai Trump, also supported her mom with a message, “Love you! Strongest person ever.” Other followers also showed their support to the mom of five, with many saying “Praying for you” in the comment section of her post. Vanessa, who was married to Donald Trump Jr. from 2005 to 2018, shares five children with her ex-husband: Kai, Donald, Tristan, Spencer, and Chloe.
However, in March 2025, the former model announced she was in a relationship with golf superstar Tiger Woods. Vanessa’s health update also arrived shortly after Woods returned home, following a six-week stint out of the country to seek treatment after a DUI arrest in March. An inside source recently told PEOPLE that the golf legend “took his trip seriously and is all about continuing his recovery and putting this chapter behind him.”
The insider also added “Vanessa and Tiger are in love, still serious, and happy to see each other,” adding that the former model “is eager to help him continue with his progress and move beyond any more public scandals — which they both dislike intensely.”
