Donald Trump’s Niece Mocks Him for Not Attending His Son’s Wedding

Donald Trump’s niece, Mary, boldly calls him out for missing his son’s wedding with Bettina Anderson on a private island in the Bahamas. While Trump claimed that he couldn’t make it as his government duties have kept him occupied, Mary disregarded his explanation while revealing what she believes is his potential reason for not coming. The duo has maintained an estranged relationship since their fallout in 2020 over an estate dispute.

Mary Trump mocks Donald for not attending son’s wedding

During her conversation on The Dean Obeidallah Show, Mary dismissed Trump’s explanation of skipping his son’s and Anderson’s wedding. “Give me a break. He doesn’t want to go because he can’t stand his kid,” she said. She claimed that the president is “incapable of loving,” further adding that it’s hard to be loved if the same feelings don’t exist for anybody. She thinks Trump acts this way because he constantly seeks validation and is scared of being exposed. “Donald never has been loved. They made Donald somebody who desperately wants to be loved and who is utterly unlovable” (via The Daily Beast).

These comments come after the US president took to Truth Social to reveal why he won’t be attending his son Donald Trump Jr.’s wedding. “While I very much wanted to be with my son, Don Jr., and the newest member of the Trump Family, his soon-to-be wife, Bettina, circumstances pertaining to government, and my love for the United States of America, do not allow me to do so,” he wrote.

He revealed that it’s important for him to remain in the White House at the moment during such a crucial time. However, he sent congratulations to the newlywed couple. On Sunday, May 23, it was reported that Trump Jr. and Anderson had tied the knot in an intimate wedding, attended by family and close friends. However, it was also revealed that the ceremony was conducted a few days after the duo secretly got married on Thursday, as evidenced by a Florida marriage license obtained by PEOPLE.
