The “Off Campus” star, Mika Abdalla, reportedly called it quits with fiancé, Jake Short, after their engagement last year. Both actors have been dating each other for five years. While they never addressed their engagement publicly, the former Disney star’s manager, Brian Medavoy, confirmed it on his Instagram in May 2025.
Meanwhile, the recent split update came from Abdalla’s rep. They exclusively told Us Weekly, “Due to recent interest in Mika’s personal life it would feel remiss to not address that her and Jake are no longer together.” Furthermore, they stated that the former couple would reportedly continue to “support each other and remain on friendly terms.” The representative also kindly requested “privacy and respect” on Abdalla’s behalf.
Meanwhile, the duo has not addressed the breakup publicly. They have also not removed Short’s photos of one another from their respective Instagram pages.
For those unversed, Abdalla has been acting for a long time. But she rose to fame with the 2026 Amazon Prime drama, “Off Campus.” She plays Allie in it and will be the prime focus in the second season.
Despite being the second lead actress in season 1, the diva stole the limelight with her Jennifer Lopez impression. She recreated JLo’s iconic green Versace jungle dress that the singer wore at the 2000 Grammys. The scene from the show even caught the “On The Floor” hitmaker’s attention, as the two ladies then collaborated for a reel.
