Amanda Batula is probably loving life in Italy right now. She’s likely soaking up the sun with West Wilson, eating delicious pizza, and blissfully ignoring the fallout from the Summer House reunion. But one of Amanda’s friends thinks she should’ve skipped that trip to Rome. Here’s what Danielle Olivera had to say…
Danielle Olivera weighs in on Amanda Batula and West Wilson’s relationship
To recap, Amanda and West have been at the center of a dating scandal since announcing their romance in March. Since then, they’ve received a lot of backlash on social media and so, ahead of the Summer House reunion, the pair jetted off to Italy together.
Unsurprisingly, Summer House viewers didn’t respond well to the duo deciding to run away. And neither has Danielle, who starred on the show alongside Amanda for several seasons, and has since reunited with her on In The City.
“I feel like she shouldn’t have gone to Rome,” Danielle told Decider of Amanda’s recent vacation. “That’s how I feel right now. I just wish she would do something on her own.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Danielle said that while Amanda currently “doesn’t have great relationships” within their friend circle, she’s not canceling her just yet.
“For me, and this is because of how I was raised, you just don’t give up on people,” Danielle said. “I think that she has a ton of growing to do and a ton of learning. I wish she would do that without West.”
To that end, Danielle isn’t keen for West to make any future appearances on In The City. “I would not want that coupling to be in my face on In The City, because I will have an opinion,” she said. “You know me, I’ll just put my foot in it. I wish she would just do it independently.”
