Justin Trudeau and Katy Perry packed on some sweet PDA in new picnic photos. As per TMZ, the couple spread out a red gingham blanket and enjoyed lunch in the balmy Californian weather. In one of the photos, Perry nestled against Trudeau and kissed him. In another photo, the couple cuddled in the afternoon sun.

The former Canadian Prime Minister wore a pistachio-green T-shirt with chocolate-brown shorts. On the other hand, the “Dark Horse” singer wore a tight-fitting white T-shirt with matching white pants, complete with a straw bucket hat.

Trudeau and Perry have been publicly linked since July 2025, when they were photographed grabbing dinner at the neighborhood restaurant Le Violon. The same month, Trudeau was spotted at Perry’s concert in Montreal. The pair officially confirmed their relationship in December and made their red carpet debut at the Tribeca Festival for the pop star’s concert film premiere.

At the event, the “Roar” singer gushed to PEOPLE about Trudeau. She said, “I feel like a more grounded person in so many aspects of my life. I am very in love. And actually, that show was after I met the love of my life and so I felt very anchored by that because I’m a little bit like a rainbow kite.”

Recently, the 54-year-old was criticized by Canadian fans for skipping Canada’s opening match in favor of attending a U.S. game where Perry performed (via BBC). Trudeau posted on X: “Sometimes supportive boyfriend duties call. But you know who I’m rooting for to take the Cup.” He added the Canada flag emoji to showcase his loyalty to the country.
