Cara Delevingne is revisiting a chapter she had never publicly discussed. The model has seemingly confirmed that she and Amber Heard were once romantically involved. During a recent interview, Delevingne described their relationship as an “entanglement” that began while Heard was navigating her divorce from Johnny Depp. The revelation comes nearly a decade after dating rumors first surrounded the pair.

While appearing on the “Louis Theroux Podcast,” Cara Delevingne was asked about the long-running speculation surrounding her relationship with Amber Heard. This time, she did not sidestep the question. “We were close for a long time,” the “Suicide Squad” star said. She then revealed that the pair became “entangled” while Heard and then-husband Johnny Depp “were going through the divorce.”
Although the model did not go into further detail about the relationship, her remarks appear to be the first time she has publicly confirmed that there was a romantic connection between them. The pair had been friends since at least 2014. That said, dating rumors intensified in 2016 after they were repeatedly spotted together following Heard’s separation from Depp.
Notably, Delevingne’s comments also arrive years after her name surfaced in claims made during Depp’s legal battle with Heard. In 2020, Josh Drew, the former husband of Heard’s friend Raquel “Rocky” Pennington, alleged that Heard, Delevingne, and Elon Musk had been involved in a “three-way affair.” Those allegations received widespread attention at the time. However, Musk firmly denied them.
“Cara and I are friends,” Musk said in a statement to Page Six then. He also claimed he and Heard only began seeing each other about a month after she filed for divorce. “I don’t think I was ever even in the vicinity of Amber during their marriage,” the SpaceX founder added.
Since her split from Depp, Heard has been linked to several people and has largely shifted her focus to family life. She welcomed daughter Oonagh via surrogate in 2021 before later announcing the arrival of twins, Agnes and Ocean.
