Anti-Donald Trump Graffiti Sparks Fresh Controversy at Great American State Fair

The Great American State Fair, which is ongoing to align with and celebrate America’s 250th anniversary of independence, has hit another major snag.

Reportedly, anti-Donald Trump graffiti has appeared on the Cadillac-themed Texas gallery, sending shockwaves through the Trump administration as they try to cover up the damage and move past the loaded message.

The controversial graffiti has become another challenge for organizers of Trump’s Great American State Fair

The number sequence “8647” was found scribbled across the Texas exhibit, immediately recalling past incidents of the same nature. “8647” has previously been identified as coded anti-Trump graffiti: “86” is American slang for getting rid of something, and “47” refers to Trump as the 47th president. Together, it means: remove Trump.

The slogan went viral after former FBI Director James Comey was federally indicted in 2026 for posting an Instagram photo of beach seashells arranged into the numbers, which the Trump administration called a threat on the president’s life. The same message has also appeared in and around the Washington Monument in the recent past. The code was found marked into the grass in large lettering.

According to OK! Magazine, Andrew Mahaleris, press secretary for Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, has expressed his disappointment with the vandalism, saying, “We are disappointed that someone defaced it with disgusting anti-Trump political graffiti.” He added, “This kind of partisan attack has no place in an exhibit honoring Texas and America. We remain focused on showcasing Texas pride, strength, and contributions to America.”

Freedom250 spokesperson Julia Friedland has also condemned the act, calling the graffiti “disgusting” and appreciating the Texas team for “quickly to remove the vandalism.”

The Great American State Fair has been rocked by performers pulling out, inclement weather, and thin crowds. The appearance of the graffiti adds to the humiliation of the current government.
