Recent reports have revealed that Margaret Qualley and Jack Antonoff’s nearly three-year marriage has hit a rough patch. According to a source, the couple has been dealing with ongoing issues that have put significant strain on their relationship.

The insider said, “It happened recently, but they have been having issues for the last few years. Margaret initiated the separation,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly. “Both of their busy schedules and distance were factors, along with many other things like lack of trust in the marriage.”
The source added, “They were still trying to work on the marriage a few months ago, but it ultimately wasn’t working.” The insider further claimed, “At some point, the rose-colored glasses came off for Margaret, and she felt she needed to take a step back.” US Magazine also stated that Antonoff, 42, “had expressed to friends” that “it was difficult being married and that there were struggles.”
The reports have also prompted fans to revisit recent public appearances. Antonoff attended Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding without Qualley. This fueled speculation online because Qualley has long been considered part of Swift’s inner circle. Fans also noticed that Qualley had changed her social media handle and removed wedding photos, leading to further speculation. However, neither of those developments confirms the status of their relationship.
Amid the breakup speculation, Antonoff was recently seen wearing his wedding ring. The couple was last photographed together publicly at the 2026 Grammy Awards. Earlier this year, Qualley also spoke warmly about Antonoff in a Vanity Fair interview, describing him as “my person,” while continuing to keep their relationship largely private.
Qualley and Antonoff began dating in 2021 and got engaged the following year. They married in New Jersey in 2023.
