Married to Medicine Star Lia Jones Details Shocking Murder Plot Allegation

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Lia Jones has accused her ex-husband, Colin Dias, of trying to recruit a neighbor to have her killed. The Married to Medicine: Los Angeles star claims Dias tried to recruit a neighbor to have her killed.

Court filings say Lia Jones claims Colin Dias tried to recruit a neighbor to have her killed

Jones filed for a domestic violence restraining order on Monday, alleging that Dias tried to arrange her murder, according to the court documents obtained by TMZ.

According to the filing, a neighbor told Lia Jones that Dias asked, “What would it cost to get rid of [her]?” She claimed the neighbor said Dias could obtain a “clean gun” and was “actively looking and recruiting to have it done.”

Jones further alleged that Dias has a history of domestic violence. In the filing, she claimed a court granted a restraining order about five years ago after he allegedly struck her with a belt and dragged her by the hair.

The court did not grant Jones’ restraining order request. TMZ reported that the judge required a formal hearing because the petition relied on statements that came from a neighbor. The court scheduled that hearing for Aug. 5.

Jones also asked the court to let her sell a home that she claimed Dias forced her to transfer to him in exchange for access to their children. She argued that a sale could address property defaults and prevent foreclosure. The judge declined to approve an immediate sale and set that matter for a hearing.

The former couple’s legal disputes have continued for years. TMZ reported in March that Jones sought joint legal and physical custody of their two children after Dias received sole custody under their 2023 divorce settlement.

The couple’s legal dispute has included allegations from both sides.TMZ previously reported that he obtained a restraining order after accusing Jones of threatening to kill him and later attacking him. The outlet added, “Lia says she’s completed a 52-week domestic violence course, done a bunch of therapy, and attended parenting and anger management classes.”

Dias had not publicly responded when TMZ published its report. No court has determined that he tried to arrange Jones’ death, and the claims remain allegations in a civil proceeding.
