Now, according to a recent claim made by an insider, the Duke of Sussex is often clubbed with his uncle for a nickname.
Royal insider reveals nicknames for Prince Harry and Ex-Prince Andrew
In a report by The Times, palace insiders shared that they refer to Prince Harry and former Prince Andrew as the “Dukes of Hazard.” Royal Correspondent Kate Mansey said on Times Radio’s The Royals with Roya and Kate that she “did a kind of wrap up in the Times magazine at the end of last year.” During which, a couple of people mentioned Harry and Andrew being referred to as the Dukes of Hazard. “As the two difficult dukes who are problems for the king, but perhaps Andrew more so,” Mansey said.
This nickname comes in light of Harry and his uncle’s controversies. Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was stripped of his royal titles following controversies. Additionally, he was removed from his Royal Lodge in Windsor. On the other hand, the Duke of Sussex‘s return to the UK came with multiple alleged crises. Harry’s demand for taxpayer-funded police protection was reportedly rejected by the Royal and VIP Executive Committee.
The 41-year-old reportedly also lost his lawsuit against the publisher of the Daily Mail and Mail. Moreover, he allegedly wasn’t allowed to stay at Buckingham Palace for not responding to the offer of accommodation on time. Further, Harry’s spokesperson gave a statement expressing “disappointment” at the rejection.
This behavior of the prince reportedly left King Charles disappointed. As per Closer, Harry’s endless demands ended up fuelling his father’s impatience with him. “The King has been incredibly understanding,” an insider said. However, “Harry is pushing his luck and taking his father’s patience for granted.” The insider continued, “It’s not even about the security issue, it’s all the extra demands, the constant briefings and this feeling that Harry expects everyone to dance to his tune.”
