According to royal expert Simon Vigar, Prince William and Kate Middleton may have two of their biggest supporters outside the Royal Family. Speaking on HELLO!’s “A Right Royal Podcast,” Vigar claimed that Carole and Michael Middleton will have a “huge impact on the future of the monarchy” (via The Royal Observer).
The expert suggested that their influence goes far beyond being grandparents. In fact, he claimed the values they instilled in Middleton have already helped shape the Wales family. “Catherine is married to the next King, and she is the mother of the one after that,” Vigar said. Because of that, he believes the Middleton family could have a lasting influence on the monarchy’s future.
He also pointed to Middleton’s upbringing. According to Vigar, she was raised in a close-knit and grounded household. He alleged those same principles now reflect in the way she and William are raising Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. As a result, the family’s approach could influence how the next generation of royals grows up.
Vigar also spoke on Middleton’s decision to join the Royal Family. He noted that she had years to consider the role before marrying William. “Once she had made that decision, she was all in,” the expert claimed, calling her commitment unwavering.

The insider even claimed he once joked about struggling to lay a table properly because the family’s informal style was so different from royal protocol.
