Marvel has not confirmed Timothée Chalamet as Harry Osborn alongside Tom Holland’s Spider-Man
Despite coming from a parody account, the post has gained traction on X. It has crossed over 7.8 million views. Some users are seriously calling for Chalamet to be cast in the films. A user wrote, “Y’all joking, but this would be generational casting.” Another tweeted, “That casting would be WILD. Timothée as Harry Osborn opposite Tom Holland could bring a completely different energy to Peter’s story. The funny part? Holland himself previously suggested Chalamet for Harry.”
Harry Osborn is among the most significant characters yet to be introduced in Holland’s MCU storyline. However, there has been no official announcement from Marvel regarding the casting. There are also no confirmed reports suggesting that the studio is currently in talks with the actor.
This isn’t the first time an account has sparked speculation about Chalamet joining the MCU. DiscussingFilm, another parody account, previously shared a false claim that the actor would portray Tony Stark in a film called Iron Man: Rebuilt. The supposed movie was said to be coming in 2028. However, no such project has been officially announced or confirmed to be in development.
Chalamet already has several major projects lined up. His upcoming slate includes Dune: Part Three, which is scheduled to hit theaters on December 18, 2026. The actor is also set to star in the animated movie Not Alone, currently scheduled for April 16, 2027. Beyond those projects, Chalamet has an action thriller, High Side, in development.
