Donald Trump Jokingly ‘Chooses’ Karoline Leavitt’s Replacement

Donald Trump recently shared who would be the perfect replacement for Karoline Leavitt as the White House Press Secretary on Truth Social. The President previously announced that Leavitt would step down to spend more time with her family. Despite much speculation about a potential candidate, the Trump administration has not made a concrete announcement about who would take her role.

Donald Trump’s new Truth Social post: the best press secretary

Donald Trump recently took to Truth Social and jokingly suggested that he is the best person to become the next White House Press Secretary.

The President shared an image of himself speaking with reporters at the podium and captioned it, “The Best Press Secretary.” Trump’s post follows amid speculation about who will be the new Press Secretary after Karoline Leavitt stepped down earlier this month. Leavitt announced her departure soon after returning to duty following the birth of her second child.

Trump made a lengthy post on August 13 asserting that Leavitt, who was “one of my most trusted aides will be departing her role at the end of the month so she can spend more time with her beautiful young children and family.” He added that he respects Leavitt’s decision and, despite leaving the position, she will act as one of his “top outside advisors.”

Leavitt also posted a tweet following the update on her X account and thanked Trump for giving her “so many extraordinary opportunities.” She stated that working as the White House Press Secretary was an “honor and adventure of a lifetime.”

Soon after the position went vacant, a report suggested the candidates that people think could take on the role. According to The New York Post, the candidates are Alina Habba, Matthew Boyle, Katie Miller, and more. Recently, a source also told CNN that Trump “genuinely doesn’t know who to pick.”
