Amber Heard and Johnny Depp’s legal saga has become the talk of the town once again. The actor’s ex-girlfriend, Bianca Butti, opened up about the topic in Kelly Loudenberg and Makiko Wholey’s new book, “Hollywood Vampires: Johnny Depp, Amber Heard, and the Celebrity Exploitation Machine.” In it, Butti claimed that Heard’s relationship with her ex-husband was “violent.”

Amber Heard’s ex-girlfriend has reasons to believe Johnny Depp was violent towards her
Amber Heard’s ex-girlfriend, Bianca Butti, has maintained a close relationship with the actor even after their breakup. She supported Heard during the 2022 Virginia defamation trial involving Johnny Depp. Recently, the cinematographer revealed details about the former married couple’s relationship in a new book about the ex-celebrity pair’s legal battles.
According to People, Butti explained in the book why she believed the “Aquaman” star during the defamation case. She said, “It almost sounded like someone else was talking.” She explained that Heard had detached herself emotionally and that Butti believed “all of it.” “Especially as someone who was her intimate partner. If I made a sudden move during an argument, she would recoil. It was clear to me that she was in a very violent relationship,” Heard’s ex claimed.
Butti also highlighted that the ex-married couple had a different relationship dynamic. While Heard tried to hold her “own ground,” Depp “wasn’t having it” and was “blacked out” due to alcohol and drugs.
Depp and Heard tied the knot in February 2015. She filed for divorce the following year in May, along with domestic violence charges. However, the “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor denied the allegations. In 2018, Heard wrote an op-ed for The Washington Post, mentioning that she had experienced domestic assault. Although she didn’t mention names, the references she made were evident.
Depp then filed a $50 million lawsuit for defamation against his ex-wife, denying the assault allegations. In response, Heard filed a $100 million countersuit accusing him of attempting to “ruin her life and career.” Following the sensationalized legal battle, Depp won the case, and the actors reached an agreement.
