The actor has gone through a dramatic transformation ahead of the upcoming film “Dune: Part Three.” Momoa recently shaved off his beard for the first time in six years. The Hollywood heartthrob even shared his reaction following the big change, and it is safe to say he wasn’t a fan of the new look.

It was time for a change for Jason Momoa, as he underwent a dramatic transformation ahead of the new “Dune” sequel. The 46-year-old recently took to his Instagram and shared a new video to give a detailed look at him shaving off his iconic beard. Momoa shared in the Instagram Reel’s caption that he hadn’t shaved in six years. He added, “Here we are again.” The video began with Momoa taking the electric shaver to his face, getting ready to ditch his iconic look.

Momoa later even shared his reaction to the new look. After shaving half of the beard, the “Aquaman” star exclaimed, “Oh man,” and laughed it off. He then continued to clear the rest. When he looked at his clean-shaven face, Momoa reacted, “God damnit, I hate it!” In the video, the “Game of Thrones” actor also shared that he was undergoing the transformation to deliver an important message. Momoa wrote, “I launched @mananalu to help eliminate single-use plastic.”

The actor continued, “Now, we’re taking it even further, partnering with our team at @Getboomerangwater.” Momoa shared that this was to “bring in a closed-loop system that sanitizes and bottles water onsite.” He then explained what it meant, writing, “Even less waste, reduced shipping footprint, and our aluminum bottles get reused over and over.” Momoa added, “This is the future, and we’re starting in Hawai’i.”

Momoa emphasized the message, “Let’s get rid of single-use plastic,” and further stated, “For our children and for our planet.” Meanwhile, fans took to the video’s comments section to share their reaction to his new look. One user expressed the collective emotion, writing, “You look handsome either way, I am a huge fan of the beard however!” Others pointed out they loved the change ahead of “Dune: Part Three.”
