The first six episodes of Perfect Match Season 3 are here, and they’re filled with your favorite sexy reality TV stars finding steamy summer romances in the most chaotic circumstances. Season 3 mixed things up by adding Bachelor Nation and Love Island USA alums to the mix. Previous Perfect Match seasons exclusively featured Netflix reality stars. By expanding to include stars from other networks, the show amped up the drama. Here are the most dramatic moments, shocking twists, gasp-worthy guffaws, and edge-of-your-seat cliffhangers from Perfect Match Season 3 so far.
The most shocking moments of Perfect Match Season 3 (so far)

Netflix’s Perfect Match places reality TV alums, mostly from other dating shows, in a villa. Each night, contestants must match up to share a room. The following day, these couples compete in compatibility challenges.
Winning comes with two rewards. First, couples get to go on a date. Perhaps more importantly, they take control of the gameplay. Winning couples get to control the signature Perfect Match boardroom with host Nick Lachey. There, they’re presented with four new reality stars ready to enter the villa. They have to choose who to put on dates. Will the new bombshells break up a pre existing match? Or are the couples actually the Perfect Match and strong enough to come back together after a test? That’s where the drama lies.
Because the boardroom is such a big part of the show, contestants are able to be openly strategic about gameplay. Which isn’t the case with most other reality TV dating shows. It’s one of the signature charms of the Netflix series. That, and seeing reality TV faves interact. Especially when they’re exes. Producers also throw in constant twists and turns to ensure the villa is as chaotic as possible. Here’s what stood out to us from the ever-unpredictable Season 3 so far.
Madison Errichiello chooses herself for the first date

Love Is Blind alum Madison Errichiello won the first compatibility challenge with Temptation Island’s Cody Wright. The suck and blow inspired challenge meant the two practically locked lips the whole time. Madison might have tipped her hand when she shaded Cody’s kissing … because of his bad breath.
Still, she made a bold and unexpected move once they got into the boardroom. Madison chose to put herself on a date with Freddie Powell from Love Is Blind UK. While the move shocked the cast, it seems like Madison did make the best choice. Her and Freddie became one of the strongest couples. Whereas Cody turned on her so quick and was unnecessarily rude. After all, they were only together one day!
Clayton Echard breaks up with Rachel Recchia for the third time

Producers were very messy with this casting. This year, the Perfect Match cast included Bachelor Nation exes Clayton Echard and Rachel Recchia. When Clayton was the Bachelor, he broke up with Rachel twice. And, years later, he did it again. Yikes!
Rachel entered the villa after a date with Freddie. But since he was pretty closed off with Madison, Rachel was left exploring other options. Clayton remembered how some thought he should’ve chosen Rachel his season. Wondering if she was there for a reason, Clayton asked if she’d give things another shot.
But the third time was not the charm. Less than 24 hours later, Clayton changed his mind. He kept saying it was his intuition. But Rachel, rightfully upset, pointed out that his intuition said the exact opposite the night before. It was hard to watch, and Rachel admitted her mom would be mad at her for giving Clayton another chance to break her heart. Let’s hope they don’t give things a fourth try in the back half of Perfect Match Season 3!
Rachel forgets Scott Van-Der-Sluis’ name

To make up for dumping her on television yet again, Clayton put Rachel on a date. She was matched with Scott Van-Der-Sluis, who famously went on Love Island UK, Love Island USA, and Love Island Games all in one summer.
Rachel had a good time with the former footballer. But when a producer asked her what his name was, she admitted she forgot. She wasn’t the only one. Later that night, Sandy Gallagher called him Ray.
Perhaps more offensive to Scott was that Rachel kept calling him English when he’s Welsh. She also asked if they weren’t the same thing.
Despite the name mix up, Rachel and Scott continued to match up the following nights. Will they win the prize and be named the Perfect Match of Season 3? We’ll have to wait and see.
A shocking twist splits up the strongest couples
When Lucy Syed and Daniel Perfetto entered the boardroom, Nick Lachey asked them to rank the strongest couples. After some deliberation, Lucy and Daniel ranked Madison and Freddie along with Ollie Sutherland and Amber “AD” Desiree. Then Nick revealed that they had to split up these couples. They had to choose one guy and one girl from each match to go on a date. Lucy and Daniel chose Madison and Ollie. That meant Freddie and AD had to leave the villa immediately.
From there, the twists kept coming. Both Madison and Ollie were joined by two potential new partners on their date. Madison chose Too Hot To Handle’s Jalen Brown, whereas Ollie picked Love Island USA legend Justine Ndiba. That night, he was heard gushing over how sexy Justine is. The next morning, she revealed that they had the most amazing cuddle of her life.
Then the boys and girls were split up to embark on a mini version of Love Island’s Casa Amor. The episode ended on a cliffhanger as Ollie saw that AD returned with the new group of girls. What will happen next? Well, Perfect Match fans will find out when the next batch of episodes lands on Netflix Friday August 8.
