Season 1 of Perfect Match debuted on Netflix in February 2023. The dating show featured an array of Netflix reality stars seeking love and an all-expenses-paid vacation to a destination of their choice. Some cast members seemed more interested in scoring a free vacay than finding their soulmate, but fans felt winners Georgia Hassarati and Dom Gabriel had pure intentions. The two coupled up after Dom’s original match, Francesca Farago, chose to pursue another connection, leaving him single. Who Won Perfect Match Season 1?
Georgia and Dom took home the prize in the Season 1 finale of Perfect Match, but their off-screen romance was short-lived. After the finale, Netflix released a “Where Are They Now” video with the cast in which the winning pair revealed they broke things off due to long distance. Georgia characterized the split as amicable, but Dom felt differently. He said he felt “blindsided” by Georgia’s appearance on reality star Harry Jowsey’s podcast.
“We were still talking, we were together, and she had to go do a certain podcast. The podcast came out, and the title of the podcast was, ‘Georgia and Harry Fall in Love,'” he said.
Georgia and Harry dated on-and-off from June 2022 to April 2023.
Georgia decided to speak up after Dom spoke negatively about her in interviews and on social media. During an appearance on The Viall Files, she revealed she felt pressured into a relationship.
“He was so annoyed that we weren’t moving at his pace,” she said. “I think he had a lot of animosity towards me.”
She went on to say that in the outside world, she and Dom were not a “perfect match.”
“I am someone who relies on communication,” she said. “It just wasn’t working for me … I want to be with someone who can communicate and who is mature.”
