Taylor Swift celebrated the announcement of her highly anticipated 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl”, with a fun-filled, glamorous party in New York City. The celebration took place on August 13 at Casa Cipriani. The list of attendees included the multiple Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter’s inner circle, including one of her BFFs, Ashley Avignone.
However, as reported by Rob Shuter’s #ShuterScoop, a “source” told them that one person was noticeably missing from her hand-picked guest list. It was Taylor Swift’s allegedly once-close friend, Blake Lively. The “insider” also claimed that Lively not making the cut for the album party was not “accidental.”
Blake Lively didn’t make the cut for Taylor Swift’s album party, says source
Taylor Swift reportedly dropped Blake Lively from her meticulously hand-picked guest list for the New York City party for her upcoming album, “The Life of a Showgirl.” Per Rob Shuter’s #ShuterScoop, a “source” said to them that “This was a curated list.” The person added, “Blake just didn’t make the cut.”
There was a time when fans could see Taylor Swift and Blake Lively often hanging out together at various occasions, from concerts to games. However, their friendship reportedly faced a fallout after the “Fortnight” singer’s name got involved in Livley’s courtroom scenario involving her “It Ends with Us” co-star and director, Justin Baldoni. According to “insiders”, that particular moment “rattled” their long-standing friendship.
In the meantime, the guest list for Taylor Swift’s album celebration reportedly included the singer’s close friend, Ashley Avignone and the “Overcompensating” actor Owen Thiele. As reported by the news outlet, an eyewitness claimed that Swift “was radiant.” The person continued, “This was about celebrating a career high — and she kept the circle small.”
Meanwhile, a “source” also told the news outlet that Taylor Swift “doesn’t do accidental guest lists.” The person added, “Every seat was intentional — and Blake’s wasn’t one of them.”
The new album, “The Life of a Showgirl”, is all set to make its debut on October 3.
