Travis Kelce received loud boos at Arrowhead Stadium
As a wise commentator once sang, “this is why we can’t have nice things“. Just a few days after announcing his engagement, Travis Kelce was brought firmly back down from cloud nine at the Arrowhead Stadium last night. The NFL star was attending the Cincinnati-Nebraska game with brother Jason Kelce and fiance Taylor Swift. He was there to cheer on the Cincinnati Bearcats, the team he played for from 2009 to 2012.
However, it seems the opposing team’s fans, the Nebraska Cornhuskers, were definitely not happy to see Travis. And they sure made their feelings known. As soon as the Kansas City Chiefs star appeared on the Jumbotron, an impressive chorus of boos rained down. In the video, obtained by Yahoo Sports, Travis can be seen laughing it off.
If it’s some consolation to the sportsman, he’s not the only one to receive the wrath of the crowd. Taylor knows exactly how that feels. She was booed at Caesars Superdome back in February. No one was more surprised than the singer herself, who immediately turned to a friend and asked “What’s going on?”
Still, we imagine nothing can dampen the high the loved up couple is on right now. Their joint engagement post has amassed an impressive 34 million likes. Unsurprisingly, it’s thought to be the most-liked post in the history of the social media platform.
The pair apparently kept the proposal under wraps for a few weeks before making the big announcement.
