Los Angeles Chargers’ Teair Tart and Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce were recently involved in a physical altercation. Tart slapped Kelce in front of his helmet when he gave him a small shove during the match. After the team’s victory, Tart took a jab at Kelce, subtly bringing in Kelce’s fiancée, Taylor Swift’s name.
Teair Tart’s new Instagram post includes dig at Taylor Swift
The Los Angeles Chargers claimed victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in their Friday match, winning with a score of 27-21. Tart celebrated the win by posting on Instagram, sharing several memorable photos from the game. In his caption, he playfully poked fun at Kelce by mentioning Swift’s name, stating, “I’m too swift with it even in Brazil.”
Many fans noticed Tate’s not-so-playful jab at Kelce and took to social media to react. Criticizing Tart’s comment, one fan wrote, “Slapping another player on their helmet being the highlight of your career is sad.” Another fan wrote, “Involving his fiancée in this while your lady isnt mention by trav or other is really awful, she has nothing to do with it she isnt a player she just watch her fiancée play like all the other ladies do you always have to involve her in your ship she has done nothing to you all this is really awful.” A third tweeted, “Too swift? Could you swiftly show me your Super Bowl ring? No? Oh well maybe the ring you got your billionaire stadium selling highly awarded and widely known as successful girlfriend?”
For context, the slapping incident occurred during the third quarter at Arena Corinthians in São Paulo, Brazil. Tart and Kelce exchanged small shoves, with Kelce trying to block for teammate Kareem Hunt, who made a two-yard run. Immediately after, Tart slapped Kelce’s helmet, which resulted in a penalty for unnecessary roughness. He wasn’t removed from the game. The Chiefs scored a touchdown on the next play.
Last month, Kelce and Swift got engaged, setting the internet ablaze with their nothing-short-of-fairytale pictures on Instagram. Moreover, Swift also announced her new album, The Life of a Showgirl.
