Who hasn’t felt a bit intimidated on their first day of work? Well, Channing Tatum is no exception. The actor has opened up about how nervous he felt starring alongside Kirsten Dunst in a new movie. Turns out, he may just be the actress’ biggest fan.
Channing Tatum just wanted to be liked by Kirsten Dunst
You wouldn’t expect a famously buff action star to feel intimidated on set. But Channing Tatum has proven once again why he is one of the most likable guys in Tinseltown. He recently talked about his fears about sharing the screen with Kirsten Dunst.
In an interview with People, the actor admitted: “I was so intimidated to work with her – and when I say intimidated, I was afraid. I just wanted her to like me. I was like, ‘Please like me!'”
Discussing his Kirsten’s impressive filmography, he added: “Everything she’s ever done, I’ve been obsessed with”.
The pair starred in Roofman together. The movie is based on the true story of a small-time thief who escapes prison and hides out inside a Toys ‘R’ Us for six months. Channing recently shared some behind the scenes snaps from the project, which shows him sporting a very different look.
Channing has acknowledged a number of times that he’s unlikely to go down in history as one of the industry’s top talents. He told Details magazine: “I know I’m not the best actor. But I hope my characters are getting better”. He shared the same sentiment with the Los Angeles Times: “I’m never going to be the best actor. I’m just not. But I will work harder than anyone out there.”
He may not be the next Daniel Day Lewis, but we love a humble king.
