He’s definitely no stranger to parading around a stage shirtless. And Benson Boone stuck to this tradition while playing Madison Square Garden. The singer shared some snaps to Instagram, and he’s clearly been putting in hours at the gym.

Social anxiety, who? Benson Boone clearly doesn’t have any confidence issues when it comes to showing skin. To be fair, it’s tough to see anyone having a reason to criticize his body. The singer shared some photos from his huge show at Madison Square Garden, including one in which he is bare chested except for a sparkly blue unzipped sleeveless jacket.
In the post he thanked fans for their support, saying he had made it his goal to sell out the venue. It’s a far cry from the singer’s Mr Electric Blue video in which he portrays himself as one of the most hated performers in the industry.
Benson previously spoke about his shirtless performances with Rolling Stone. He said: “I definitely remember there was a time where I would take my shirt off because I didn’t know what else to do. After doing a lot of shows, you start to pick up on what people like and don’t like, what girls like and don’t like.”
It’s not just on the stage that the singer prefers to be shirtless. His friend and collaborator Jack LaFrantz revealed he also likes to be without a top while recording “to get closer to performance mode in the studio.” He added: “I will not confirm or deny whether pants are also on or not.”
Benson and his abs have come a long way since his appearance on American Idol in early 2021.
