Ed Sheeran is eyeing up a move abroad. In a recent interview the singer revealed he’s got plans to move stateside. While we’re sure the hitmaker loves all things Americana, it seems the transition is mainly for logistical reasons. The Irish bars eagerly await his arrival.

Ed is set to swap village pubs for Target runs. Speaking on the 2 Johnnies Podcast on September 7, the singer said: “I’m just about to move to America.” He added: “I feel like I might be the only person moving to America,” probably referring to the tricky political climate.
Explaining his reasons for the big move, he said: “I’m going on tour there for a while and I have a family, so I can’t dip in and out. We’re going and settling there.” The Shape of You singer has two daughters with wife Cherry Seaborn.
It’s unclear which part of the U.S. the singer has his eye on. While the singer’s complexion may perhaps be better suited to somewhere like Fairbanks, he may have his heart set on Nashville.
In an episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast earlier this year Ed spoke very highly of Music City. He said: “Nashville is my favorite city in the States. My end goal would be like, ‘I’m gonna move to Nashville and transition to country.’ I think you just have to do it properly. It’s a genre you have to really respect. It’s not just a dip in and out.”
