Kai Cenat Revealed Why He Canceled an Outer Space Twitch Stream

Having established himself as one of the biggest names in the content creation space, Kai Cenat was on track to up the ante this year by audaciously announcing and organizing a Twitch stream in outer space. However, he ultimately decided to give up on the daunting stunt due to a bizarre yet completely understandable reason.

Kai Cenat canceled an outer space Twitch stream due to risk of dying

The 23-year-old internet personality, who currently boasts the largest number of subscribers among Twitch streamers, recently revealed that he was “supposed to go to outer space this year.”

During his recent appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, Kai Cenat remarked that he wanted to “leak something” before disclosing that he had planned to stream a video in outer space in 2025. Nevertheless, he subsequently decided not to go on the trip due to the risk of death involved in the one-of-a-kind escapade.

Cenat then noted that there was a “3% chance” he could lose his life in the mission, which convinced him to let go of the crazy idea. Explaining what his outer space stream could have entailed had he chosen to go forward with the trip, he stated, “I just want to go to outer space and say: ‘Yo, what’s up chat?’

Kai Cenat then reiterated on his content plans, “Yeah, that’s what I want to do. I wanna float real quick and come right back down.” If he had fulfilled his plan to stream in outer space, he would’ve joined an exclusive list of celebrities to have made the voyage and returned safely to Earth.

Most recently, in April 2025, Katy Perry boarded the first all-female space flight and spent an estimated four minutes outside the planet’s atmosphere with Blue Origin. Renowned television personality Gayle King also accompanied the “Dark Horse” singer on the said flight.

Other celebrities to have made the trip to outer space include Kerianne Flynn, William Shatner, Michael Strahan, Richard Branson, Jeff Bezos, and more.
