Gigi Hadid made a rare mention of ex Zayn Malik earlier this week. The model posted a series of snaps from their daughter’s fifth birthday party on Instagram. When one fan made a comment about Zayn not being at the get-together, she was quick to clarify about their positive co-parenting.

Gigi posted a series of photos offering a glimpse into daughter Khai’s party. The event took place outside, with a coloring station and enviable colorful tiered cake. Many commenters pointed out how “normal” the celebration looked.
One fan wrote: “I love how natural it is, like a real kid’s birthday. Allowing her to be a kid. It’s really beautiful”. The comment garnered more than 17,000 likes.
Another added: “Such a refreshingly simple celeb child birthday party”.
One fan felt the need to bring up Zayn in the comments, writing “I wish her dad would also be there.”
Gigi replied: “She was with us both on her birthday!!”
While it’s not clear if her ex attended the same bash or had a separate celebration with their daughter, the pair have gotten into the swing of co-parenting.
Earlier this year, Gigi told Vogue that they have reached a place of “love, and a feeling of camaraderie.”
She said: “Zayn and I do our custody schedules months in advance. That doesn’t mean that it doesn’t change here and there, but we help each other out and have each other’s backs.”
The pair dated from 2015 to 2021. Gigi has most recently been romantically linked to Bradley Cooper. The pair are said to have met at a birthday party that both of their daughters attended. Recent reports suggest their relationship is still going strong.
