Love Island USA alum Liv Walker must have missed that memo, because in a hilarious TikTok, she accidentally caught her hair on fire while trying to make herself dinner. It’s safe to say that she didn’t end up finishing the recipe. Watch the hilarious fail below, and take notes on what not to do the next time you’re cooking.
Liv Walker was cooking pasta when her hair caught on fire
The Love Island: Beyond the Villa star took to social media to explain to her followers how she wanted to improve her cooking skills. After failing to find love on reality TV, she said she wanted to get better at cooking so she could be a “good wife” when the time comes.
“So I came to this realization that obviously I want to be a wife someday,” Liv said. “I feel like in order to be a good wife, you have to know how to cook, and I don’t know how to cook.”
Liv wanted her followers to come along with her on the culinary journey, so she decided to turn it into a video series. In the first edition, she tried to make a sage brown butter, lemon pasta. Nothing went as planned.
First of all, she broke the spaghetti in half before throwing it into the water. That’s a big no-no. She proceeded to fry up some prosciutto and chop up garlic. Then, she leaned over the stove to check on the pasta, and her blonde hair kissed the flame of her gas range. Whoops!
“There is no way right now. My extensions just caught on fire. I give up cooking, guys,” Liv said, accepting defeat. “I’m ordering DoorDash, come next week.”
Fortunately, the damage to Liv’s hair wasn’t too bad. It could have been a lot worse, and based on her latest TikToks, it seems like she’s back in the kitchen. Yesterday, she posted a video of herself struggling to use a can opener. The journey continues.
