Carpenter and Keery’s viral interaction at the 2025 Austin City Limits set has got fans talking on the internet. In a clip shared by the singer’s fan account on X (formerly Twitter), the “Espresso” singer kicked off the fun tradition of cuffing a fellow celebrity attendee.
The camera panned to an excited Keery, who introduced himself to Carpenter. Next, she asked him where he is from, to which he replied, “Boston,” and the entertainer joked, “Damn, it rhymes with Austin!”
Carpenter then proceeded to inform Keery that “it’s actually cuffing season. I don’t know if you know that. It’s like we are getting..” But Keery cut her off by raising his wrists, signalling he is ready to be cuffed.
The “Please Please Please” crooner burst into laughter as she fished out her signature pink handcuffs to “arrest” the Stranger Things star. “You seem very eager, actually. This is so rare,” she confessed, impressed by his enthusiasm. She handed him the pink cuffs and dedicated the next song, “Juno,” in his honor.
