Kim Kardashian has shared some honest comments on what it’s like co-parenting with ex-husband, Kanye West. And, frankly, it doesn’t sound like a walk in the park.
Speaking on a podcast, the SKIMS founder gave fans an insight into how she raises the four children – North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm – she shares with her ex.

Appearing on today’s Call Her Daddy podcast episode, Kim said co-parenting with Kanye – whom she was married to for eight years – is “not easy”. She also commented on the “narrative” that she stops Kanye from seeing the children. “I’ve never once done that.”
The businesswoman went on to say she pushes “all the time” for Kanye to spend time with their children, but that she also “protects them when it’s time for that.”
“I raise the kids, full-time,” Kim continued. “They live with me, and I welcome a great, healthy relationship with my kids and their dad. I think he knows that.”
That being said, it’s been a while since the musician contacted his children, which Kim said is partly due to his work schedule. “It’s probably been a couple months since we’ve heard from him,” she told the host.
“They [the children] always knew that he had a big life traveling before and was always on tour and all of that, and that he lives in different countries all the time and loves to live all over the place,” she explained. “We manage it really well.”
For her part, Kim said she tries to avoid letting Kanye’s busy life impact the children too much. “They love their life and their routine and their schedule,” she said. “[My] job as their mom is just to make sure that they stick to their routine, and they’re healthy and happy.”
