Taylor Swift and Blake Lively’s once-close friendship appears to have fizzled out completely. Despite online whispers suggesting a quiet reconciliation, sources close to both stars insist that the two have not spoken in months, when Blake’s legal battle with filmmaker Justin Baldoni began.

Rumours of a reunion circulated earlier this week after gossip account DeuxMoi hinted at a “low-key” meetup between Taylor Swift and Blake Lively. However, insiders told Page Six that the reports are far from true. “They’ve had no contact,” one source confirmed, adding that the former best friends haven’t spoken since the winter.
A second insider reiterated that the two have neither spoken nor seen each other since the fallout began. Swift and Lively, who were once frequently photographed dining out together and supporting each other’s projects, have noticeably drifted apart over the past year.
Their friendship reportedly started to deteriorate in late 2024 after Blake Lively filed a lawsuit against “It Ends With Us” director Justin Baldoni, accusing him of sexual harassment, retaliation, and breach of contract. In response, Baldoni filed a $400 million countersuit in January 2025, alleging extortion and defamation.
In his filings, he claimed that Lively had “weaponized” her friendship with Swift and even referenced the pop star in text messages revealed in court. According to the court documents, Lively referred to her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and Swift as her “dragons.”
“The message could not have been clearer,” Baldoni’s complaint stated. “Baldoni was not just dealing with Lively. He was also facing Lively’s ‘dragons,’ two of the most influential and wealthy celebrities in the world, who were not afraid to make things very difficult for him.”
A source told Page Six in February that the controversy left Swift feeling “used.” The insider added, “Taylor really wishes Blake hadn’t dragged her into this whole situation. They’ve been friends for years, and Taylor cherishes genuine friendships, but right now, she can’t help but feel used at this point.”
