Jelly Roll has undergone quite the transformation in recent months. The country singer previously revealed that he weighed over 500 lbs at his heaviest. But his recent appearances during his first Australian tour reveal a noticeably slimmer version of the star.
Jelly Roll has lost a lot of weight
“I can fit in Louis Vuitton now. Pray for my bank account,” Jelly Roll joked in an Instagram post last month. And his weight loss journey is definitely more apparent than ever.
The Son of a Sinner singer reportedly once weighed 550 lbs. He’s thought to have lost around 200 lbs since starting his health kick three years ago. He’s been pretty open about his previous issues with food. In an Instagram post, he wrote: “All I’ve ever known was being fat, and I’m f*cking miserable. I wanna sky dive, bungee jump, ride a bull, parasail, ride roller coasters, I want to LIVE a normal life and have a normal relationship with food.”
He also explained how his upbringing didn’t exactly give him a foundation when it came to his diet. He told People: “Nobody in my house ever had [a healthy relationship with food], so that was the hard part, really fighting that demon at first and getting into that discipline and that commitment. But once you get into that discipline and commitment, it’s like an avalanche. Once that little snowball started rolling, it was on its way.”
But now Jelly, real name Jason DeFord, has worked through his self-described food addiction and his big goals. He said on wife Bunnie Xo’s Dumb Blonde podcast: “I wanna be on the cover of Men’s Health by March of 2026. That’s my new goal. I wanna have one of the biggest transformations.”
