Taylor Swift Targeted for ‘Chad Powers’ Season 2

Taylor Swift’s aura is unbeatable, and it seems like even the “Chad Powers” star Glen Powell and Michael Waldron, the writer of the comedy series, are starstruck by the pop singer. The final episode of the sports comedy TV series aired on October 28, and fans are eagerly awaiting the next season. Amid this, reports suggest that Powell and Waldron wish to have Swift “write and record the Chad Powers love theme.”

‘Chad Powers’ Season 2 could have Taylor Swift in a key role

“Chad Powers,” the comedy series, received a lot of love from the audience, with fans already anticipating the release of season 2. As reported by Decider, Waldron’s dream is to have Swift a part of the series.

Talking about the Season 1 finale over Zoom, he said, “I’m an O.G. Country music Taylor fan. I was blasting Taylor’s first album when I was in college, so I’m in.” The screenwriter continued, “My dream is to have Taylor write and record the Chad Powers love theme. You know how a lot of movies used to have that? That’s my dream.”

Season 1 of the sports comedy series featured notable guest stars, including EP Eli Manning, Hailey Welch, Megan Ketch, etc. With the pop singer’s engagement to the famous NFL star Travis Kelce, Powell is keenly interested in having Swift in the series.

He said, “We’ve gotta we gotta get it in front of them.” He continued, “Big, huge fan. Huge Swiftie over here, for sure.” And Waldron is not the only one who is a huge fan of the “Love Story” singer.

Perry Mattfeld, who portrayed the role of Ricky Hudson in “Chad Powers,” mentioned in an interview with Variety that she, too, wants Swift to be a part of “Chad Powers.” She noted, “I’m working my way to [Taylor]. We’ll make sure she sees the series and she’ll get it. I’m hoping because of Travis, she’ll watch and then we’ll connect and talk offense.” Meanwhile, Powell said, “You already got me thinking about Season 2 cameos. T-Swift comin’ in hot.”
