Fan gropes Halsey on stage

A fan groped Halsey during her November 4 concert at The Anthem in Washington, D.C., according to footage circulating online. The 31-year-old Grammy nominee performed her song “Is There Somewhere” when a concertgoer reached under her leather skirt and touched her as she sang at the front barrier. Several attendees captured the incident mid-performance and shared the clips on X.

In the video, Halsey appears unaware of the inappropriate contact as a fan’s hand moves up her thigh before a security guard quickly intervenes and swats the hand away. The guard’s swift action stopped the contact, and Halsey continued performing without interruption.

Fans condemned the audience member’s behavior, with one account posting, “I can’t even believe I have to say this. Respect Halsey and DO NOT touch her or anyone like this without their consent.” Others called the act “disgusting” and urged for the fan to be banned from future shows. Comments under the video included “F**king gross” and “They should be banned.”

Halsey, whose full name is Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, is currently on her Back to Badlands Tour, which began in Los Angeles on October 14. The tour will conclude in Melbourne, Australia, on February 20. Following the Washington, D.C. show, she performed in Minneapolis on November 6 and Chicago on November 8.

The singer revealed that doctors hospitalized her in Boston during the tour for a “minor medical emergency,” but she wrote on Instagram that she was “A-Okay now and ready to rock tonight.” (via The New York Post)

Halsey has openly discussed managing Lupus and a rare lymphoproliferative disorder in recent years.
