Diddy is seemingly settling into prison life – he’s allegedly been caught drinking moonshine. While drinking alcohol made in toilets and bins may be a world away from the media mogul’s glamorous pre-prison life, he was apparently busted with his own stash of the illegal – and dangerous – liquor.
A source claims Diddy was caught drinking “potentially deadly” moonshine in prison
Despite previously claiming he is sober when urging for a lighter sentence, the disgraced rapper has reportedly been enjoying some homemade booze.
Sources say Diddy was caught redhanded drinking moonshine behind bars. He allegedly had a batch of the stuff that had been left to ferment in a plastic bag for a few weeks. Tantalizing.
The drink not only (obviously) means he’s violating prison rules, but could also make him seriously ill. In prison, moonshine is made from leftover bits of food, with sugary drinks used to ferment it. Sounds harmless enough – but experts warn that this process releases botulinum toxins – which can be fatal.
A federal source told OK!: “There’s a real concern someone could poison him – either through the way the alcohol is brewed or by deliberate contamination. Inmates sometimes use dangerous additives like bleach, yeast scraped from bread, or fruit that’s already rotting. It can lead to blindness or organ failure.”
Another insider added: “Moonshine in lock-up isn’t just illegal – it can be deadly. You never know what’s in it or who’s tampered with it. Some inmates spike it to settle scores. If Combs is on this, he could easily be poisoned by a jailhouse rival or simply poison himself to death due to the nature of what’s in the mix.”
Apparently, prison officials were considering moving Diddy to another facility after he was caught with the “jailhouse brew.” He’s currently being held at Fort Dix in New Jersey, which is known for having comparatively lax security. Diddy had previously requested a transfer there after he was convicted.
