Cynthia Erivo proved once again that she is an expert when it comes to method dressing. On Monday, November 17, the British actor-singer made a jaw-dropping appearance in a witchy Balenciaga gown and sunglasses at the premiere of her upcoming movie, “Wicked: For Good,” in New York City.

She graced the red carpet at David Geffen Hall, looking absolutely spectacular in her one-of-a-kind outfit. The actor donned a custom-made black gown from Balenciaga, designed by Pierpaolo Piccioli. The ensemble channeled the energy of the actor’s character, Elphaba Thropp, from the musical fantasy film.

Cynthia Erivo wowed fans with her eye-catching gown and sunglasses from Balenciaga at the final premiere of her upcoming movie, “Wicked: For Good,” which also stars Ariana Grande. The actor’s look, featuring a black custom-made piece by creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli, was method dressing at its best.

Jason Bolden styled the actor for the event. The celebrity stylist shared photos of the actor-singer, flaunting this particular look on Instagram. The caption of the post read, “She’s a Real Witch in Custom @balenciaga by @pppiccioli.”

Cynthia Erivo’s gown had a high neckline, full sleeves, and a leather attachment draped across her shoulders. The bodice further featured unique feather detailing, adding some high-fashion drama to the actor’s red carpet look. From the waist down, the dress fell into a flowy and voluminous skirt with pleats. The futuristic yet elegant ensemble captured the spirit of her character, Elphaba Thropp, beautifully.

In the meantime, as for jewelry, Erivo opted for a pair of gorgeous diamond studs, an alluring diamond bracelet, and a few other pieces. The bling was from Roberto Coin’s Haute Couture and Cento collections. The actor-singer also rocked a pair of Balenciaga’s iconic sunglasses, which went perfectly with the futuristic look.

When it came to makeup, Erivo chose to go with a minimalistic no-makeup makeup look to keep the focus on her outfit. Joanna Simkin served as the makeup artist for this red carpet serve.
