Bethenny Frankel Might Have To Return To NYC Housewives Full Time, Plus Danielle Staub’s Contract

Despite her declaration on the cover of UsWeekly magazine weeks ago, stating she had quit the Real Housewives of New York City, it seems Bethenny Frankel might have to return full time next season, and not just to make sparse guest appearances as previously reported.

According to Popeater, Bethenny is still under contract with Bravo to appear on one more season of the show.  This means the decision to appear or not appear on the show is completely up to Bravo, and not Bethenny.

“Bethenny’s contract with ‘Housewives’ is for another year,” a Bravo network executive tells Popeater. “Even though she has a contract for her own spin-off reality show, she needs to honor the contact she originally signed.”

And when it comes to Real Housewives of New Jersey star Danielle Staub getting a spin-off show on another network, not so fast says Popeater.  Apparently Danielle’s contract with Bravo clearly states she cannot work for another network for several more years without Bravo’s written permission.

“These ladies think they are superstars now and that something like a contract doesn’t matter,” an insider reveals. “Well, think again. Bravo isn’t in the business of creating stars and then letting them go to other networks. That just isn’t going to happen.”

In other housewives news, Danielle is now claiming former co-star Dina Manzo is sending her threatening text messages.  “Dina texts me,” said Danielle to E! News. “Yep, Dina—who’s not even on the Housewives anymore. She’s hanging for dear life. Shut the f–k up, Dina!”

“She’s threatening me,” Danielle claims. “She’s an idiot. I don’t answer them.”  Dina however denies this.  “I left for a reason to get her out of my life,” said Dina. “I wish she would just do the same and move on.”
