MTV Host TJ Lavin In Critical Condition After Dirt Bike Crash

TJ Lavin, host of MTV Challenges and a Pro BMX dirt bike rider, is in critical condition following a dirt bike crash on Thursday night.

According to TMZ, TJ, 33, is currently in a medically induced coma after losing control of his bike and crashing during a jump at the Dew Tour BMX event in Las Vegas.

The accident occured as TJ hit a dirt ramp, lost control, and slammed down onto the ground. Friends and crew workers reportedly rushed to his side immediately as he didn’t appear to be moving.

TMZ adds that TJ is also experiencing brain swelling while listed in critical condition. A rep for MTV had the following to say: “Our thoughts are with TJ. He is an important part of MTV’s extended family and we’re all praying for him.”

TJ is the current host of MTV’s latest challenge – Cutthroat, which airs Wednesday nights on the network. Our thoughts and prayers are with TJ and his family.
