There was not a dull moment on American Idol’s elimination results show Thursday night, in what some are calling the craziest Idol episode ever.
In a round of events no one could have predicted, Casey Abrams found himself in the bottom three alongside Thia Megia, not so surprising, and Stefano Langone, which was a little surprising.
Ultimately, Casey was the one who received the least amount of votes, thus having to sing for his life in the hopes of a last-minute save from judges Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler.
About 25 seconds into singing “Don’t Need No Doctor,” the judges cut Casey’s’ song short, letting him know they needed to hear no more. He was being saved. “We know who you are, Casey,” said Randy. “We don’t need to hear you sing anymore, do we Steven?” “We made a decision to keep you on,” added Steven.
“Are you kidding, are you kidding,” muttered 20-year-old Casey over and over, appearing very stunned and almost on the verge of collapse, before staggering over to the judges’ table to thank them.
And just like that, the judges used their one and only save of the season, which means with 11 contestants still remaining, no one else can be saved. This has left some wondering if the judges were right in their decision to use the judge’s save now. Next week, two of the contestants will be getting the boot instead of just one.
TELL US – WERE THE JUDGES RIGHT IN USING THEIR SAVE ON CASEY?
Big mistake. he’s not bad but he isnt the All American Idol and he won’t sell. He’s another Taylor Hicks….Taylor who???
Casey belongs on Saturday Night LIve.
With all he can do – he is very talented but not sure he will last now throughout. At least he wil be in the tour.
I think it might be a mistake. He’s talented but there are some that are FAR more talented and what happens when they need a save?
I do think this season has the most talented group of any other. There are a couple of them that blow my mind. I’d actually love to see this group on their tour.
Yeah that was a blown save……I mean he is very talented but there are too many people way more talented that him to have wasted that save. Tyler, Lopez and Jackson should have thought with their heads. Hopefully Pia doesn’t have an off week and come up for elimination cause then they will be kicking themselves…….Does this mean he gets to go on tour?
Mistake! I don’t like his eyes or hair or his singing, seemed nice enough tho.
I can’t wait when he’s in the bottom 2 next week.He does have talent, but i haven’t seen it in weeks.
If America didnt vote to keep him on the show, then why did the judges save him? He was a good singer, but not an idol. I think its between Pia and the guy who sang the Judas Priest song, (cant think of his name). Waste of a save…
They’re going to regret this in a few weeks. Maybe when Jennifer begs for another “pass” the producers will give her one.
He will probably get voted off next week, and the “save” will be wasted. What will the judges do then? Change the rules???

NO YA’LL WHAT HAPPENED IS AMERICA THOUGHT WITH THIER ASSES AND SAID CASEY IS “SAFE” WITH EVERYONE VOTING FOR HIM SO THEY DID NOT CALL IN AND VOTE FOR HIM THUS NO VOTES FOR HIM. HAPPENS ALL THE DAMN TIME !! PEOPLE THINK THEIR “ONE” IS SAFE CUZ OTHERS ARE GONNA VOTE FOR THEM AND THEY DON’T AND LOOK WHAT HAPPENS !! CASEY LANDED IN THE BOTTOM THREE AND THEN BOOTED OFF THE SHOW. HE IS A EXCELLENT SINGER AND THEY SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN RID OF SEFANO OR PAUL THEY HAVE NO TALENT AND CAN NOT SING WORTH A DAMN IN MY OPINION !!! AMERICA WAKE UP THIS YEAR IS GOING TO BE TOUGH WE HAVE FANTASTIC TALENT IT IS GOING TO BE HARD VERY HARD TO PICK THE NEXT AMERICAN IDOL !!!

Lol, is that so Just J? I didnt vote for him because I dont think he is the next American Idol. While I think he has a nice voice, all his growling was a turn off. Apparently he had the LEAST votes. I predict he will be going home next week.
Oh, quit all yer whining…..Saving Casey is fine. What the hell. They saved him AND made a decision to let 11 people go on tour. N O, he probably wont go the distance, but what the hell, don’t begrudge him their vote!

# 10 Just J I agree with you I think alot of people assumed he was safe I know I did and he’s my favorite I confess I voted for Paul because he sang one of my favorite songs and I liked him the best that night.
