According to a new report by Star magazine, Dancing With The Stars‘ contestant Hope Solo has had it with her “obnoxious” partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy!
The reason? Soccer star Hope is reportedly getting sick of Maks’ constant verbal abuse. This comes on the heels of Maskim’s recent outburst on the show.
“Hope has had it with Maks,” reveals an insider. “He’s such a jerk and constantly makes obnoxious comments to her like, ‘I’m not here to be your friend.’ It brings her down, and everyone can see it.”
The mag adds that Hope, 30, isn’t alone in her negative opinion of Maksim, 31. The insider claims no one on the show can stand him.
“He is by far the most hated person on the set,” the insider says. “No one wants to work with him, especially since he got his brother Valentin, a spot on the show. He thinks he has all this fame and power now.”
Another DWTS source agrees, adding: “Maks is so arrogant. Hope needs someone who encourages her and makes her feel like she can do it — but Maks does just the opposite.”
Interesting article as the two were photographed looking rather chummy just a week ago. In other Maks news, he tweeted that he is suffering from a broken toe. Maks tweeted on Friday: “One thing that could make this Halloween weekend better—-NOT having a broken toe! Got @TeddyV & @BigMervLA helping out!”
A new episode of DWTS airs tonight on ABC at 8/7c. It will be interesting to see if Maks’ toe injury hinders him in any way.

UPDATE – Hope is denying the Star magazine report, stating it’s nothing but love with Maks! Hope tweeted: “My eyes have been opened!I’m not living in the real world!Hollywood gossip is truly gossip!Star magazine where do u get your sources!So sad.”
She later added, “Hows this 4 a source!Hell,ill even attach my name 2 it!”I GOT NOTHING BUT MAD LOVE & MAD RESPECT 4 MY PARTNER @maksimC!” Go ahead,quote it!”

At least now, with a broken toe, he has an excuse for losing the competition, and bitching about stuff all the more.
It is time for new dancers, new judges, and a whole new make-over of Dancing with the Stars.
Max….is an arrogant jerk and needs to learn proper English. His sentences are not well spoken..
I agree with the “sources.” Maks has let the fame go to his head and comes across as arrogant. I used to like him when the show first aired but over time, he is grating on my last nerve.
We all know that Maks is self centered and he’s even admitted that! I guess she’s never watched the show. I don’t think Maks telling hope that he wasn’t there to be her friend is so bad..He’s not!
I’m not sticking up for Maks, I think it’s more than Maks being a problem. She always seems to be offended when the judges criticize her.
I don’t think that she’ll be around much longer. In her case, doesn’t matter who her partner would be. Hope, like Kristen simply comes off with little to no personality and not terrible likeable. JMO!

The guy is a jerk. BUT this is all for publicity /to get people to tune in tonight! They have to get those ratings up, every year there are all the leaks, about drama, partners dating etc etc, it is so FORMULA. Publicity 101.
Yes, it’s all about ratings. Since they had the bearded fat lady on I have stopped watching. Used to love to watch the sexy men dance, but even they don’t make up for the freaky “stars”.

so stop making about stuff and leave them to dance – they have a great relationship!
@7 JP — I agree. Leaks are conveniently planted that stir up drama … and we drink the Kool-aid. I’m certainly not gonna bet the farm on a Star Mag story.

Mad Maks has become his own worst enemy. At first I thought the Judges were a too harsh in their criticism re: contestants and their professional dancers, but I do believe the Judges also makes the show, too. Bruno is quite the character, he’s responses are verbally and physically engaging….Len is the old British chap who needs to take a laxative. Carrie Ann is funny and has feeling. I think Maks needs to take time away from DWTS. He needs to remove his Mask of Arrogance.

While I don’t agree with comparing peple with animals like the judges do, I do understand what Maks is saying about he is not there to be her friend. With her being in Pro Sports I would think she would understand that more than most. Coach’s are usually the hardest on you.
Maksim is his own worst enemy. When he has a partner he doesn’t get along with and who can’t dance he gets nasty with them and creates all this drama so he can use that as an excuse for not winning. Poor persecuted Maksim. It’s always everyone’s fault but his.
And watching Hope try to do damage control on Twitter is almost as funny as Maksim’s outbursts.Especially since her damage control always comes right after they’ve been caught on tape or video making it clear that they can’t stand each other.
Erin Andrews seemed to have made Maks a better man when she was his partner. He was like a different person even Tom said he has never seen Maks so calm and happy and like a different man Erin tamed the beast I guess.
I don’t believe there is really any strife between Max and any of his partners. He is really too arrogant for his own good though. Last week when he said “this is my show”, that was it for me. There is no way he can back out of or make excuses for such a statement. Fame from this show has gone straight to his head. I don’t think he or his brother are particularly that good looking. I wish they’d keep their shirts buttoned. They really DO NOT have nice chests or abs. There is no definition whatsoever. Blech!
This article is utter garbage. Everyone on the show argues, but Maks is always portrayed as the bad guy. The fact is, he makes the show. He is by far the most popular pro & he & Hope get along great. Yes, he’s a tough coach, but he’s not a jerk.
Maks is disappointing himself with his behavior this season.
It’s like he’s imploding. His choreography hasn’t been good since Scarey Spice.
If Hope is still singing this “team mate” tune after Maks manhandled her in rehearsals, she’s even more stupid than I thought. Send these two home. They are both pathetic.
Maks needs to be fired immediately ! Seeing him be physically abusive to Hope Solo was sickening. Praise to Derek for comforting her . Its disgusting to see ABC and the powers that be of DWTS promoting the kind of disrespect and abuse that Maks
has shown.

He does come across as arrogant. It was just really different when he was partners with Kirstie; I mean, I know there are a ton of things we didn’t see so no one really knows, but for what we did see, Maks lost it only twice [during season 12]. When he lost in 4th place last season, I’m pretty sure that was karma. He’s hot, no doubt, but I thnk he should move on to bigger things. Why doesn’t he follow Julianne’s lead and try acting in a dance movie? Hell, I’ll write one for him! I think he needs to be a bit more open minded and try new things. I think he’s just comfortable— I mean, obviously since he did say it’s “my show.”
