Last night’s episode of Love & Hip Hop was a hodgepodge of car shopping, conversations with Chrissy’s aunt Cookie and cat fights. Chrissy still struggles with the status of her relationship with Jim, while Yandy introduces an interloper with some awesome hair-pulling skills.
Jim Jones is buying me a car at the Audi dealership looking for his first white car (he lost a bet) and mocking Chrissy’s reaction when she finds out about his new purchase. It is a beautiful car, fit for a hustler. Jim’s words, not mine. His friend promises to get the bleeped ready (after much rewinding I am going to definitively type he said he’d get the “puff puff” ready) so they can christen the car on the ride home. That gorgeous car won’t even be off the lot before it reeks of marijuana.

Chrissy and her new bob meet up with Emily and Teairra to discuss her recent powwow with Kimbella. Chrissy describes the outfit she was wearing for the head-to-head as a cute tee, jeans and heels. Please see last week’s recap for a picture of the aforementioned “cute tee.” Emily really wants to like Kimbella, but she believes she totally gives off a slutty vibe. Everything in Kimbella’s life is a product of her sluttiness according to Emily. Teairra thinks that Kimbella has no clue about the shiz she’s stirring and needs some guidance. However, she also promises to go Detroit “three-one-thrizzle” on the poor girl if she doesn’t take Teairra’s advice.
Chrissy is not happy about Jim’s new ride. She can’t believe that he would make such a big decision without consulting her. Slash, he could have spent that money on an engagement ring. Jim compares his car shopping to Chrissy’s shoe shopping. Chrissy finds that comparison absolutely ridiculous and unfounded. I find it absolutely ridiculous that she recently bought a pair of shoes for $6,000. Double You. Tee. Ach. While she’s not on board with the car, Chrissy is all about helping Jim design his outerwear line because she’s a self-proclaimed slave to fashion.
Yandy is dining with newbie Erica‘s breasts, a former model and video girl, who wants to foray into music. Erica is not a fan of Kimbella, as she feels that Kimbella is one of the girls who depreciated the video girl image. Um. Okay. Yandy is open to managing Erica’s career, but she wants to insure that Erica isn’t just another pretty face and that she has the talent necessary to make it in this business.
Olivia meets Teairra for lunch. Is she a new cast member? Olivia is concerned that Emily is falling back under Fab’s spell. Olivia is worried that the pair is smashing and Emily is giving everything away for free. While Fab’s flowers at the fashion were a nice gesture, Teairra hopes Emily won’t go back down that path. Olivia is hopeful that Teairra will talk some sense into their friend.
Jim is excited (well, as excited as he gets which always seems to be on the verge of a nap) to see the sample coats that are Chrissy’s vision. She is very impressed with herself and the final product. Chrissy wants to negotiate with Jim for a bigger piece of the pie as well as more control over the design process. Jim can’t seem to wrap his head around why Chrissy gets upset when he calls her his “partner by default.” Man, she can be so sensitive! Chrissy looks to her Aunt Cookie and Uncle Ralph for relationship advice (they are a couple whom she respects). Chrissy has done all she can do to let Jim know she wants to spend her life with him. Cookie truly believes that Jim is scared. I truly believe that Cookie is telling Chrissy what she wants to hear.
Rich approaches Yandy about his frustrations with the fact that Olivia doesn’t have a record deal. Yandy is still adamant that Olivia is too closed off with her material, but she knows Rich has put in a lot of effort and she doesn’t want to see him give up only to have someone else to reap the benefits of his hard work. Yandy’s pep talk seems to do the trick to revitalize Rich.
After her therapy session with Aunt Cookie, Chrissy is ready to turn over a new leaf with some healthy eating. She encourages Jim to seek advice from her Uncle Ralph. Jim doesn’t seem to think he is in need of any type of conversation, but if it means so much to Chrissy, he will begrudgingly do it. This should be entertaining!
Olivia’s cousin Jackie joins Olivia for some cocktails to discuss Olivia’s issues with her mother. Her cousin is very emotional that Olivia is struggling so badly with her relationship with her mom. It seems that Olivia’ mother has no idea how much she hurt her daughter, and she acts oblivious to all of the past problems that caused Olivia such pain. Olivia decides to write her mother a song to express her feelings. Somewhere, Rich is smiling for no reason.
Jim pours some sort of vodka concoction for himself and Uncle Ralph as they begin their “talk.” Jim seems to be opening up more than he expected, and Ralph sheds some light on his niece revealing that Cookie also proposed to him. Jim knows that Chrissy is the one constant in his life that will always support him. He really loves her and he’s starting to realize that perhaps the car meant engagement ring in Chrissy’s eyes.
Kimbella invites Teairra and Yandy to come spend some time at a winery. Teairra relays to Kimbella her conversation with Emily and Chrissy about the difference between being sexy and overtly sexy. Yandy brings Erica to the love fest. This should be good! Teairra is trying to get to know Erica, and when Kimbella follows suit, Erica (no way she’s just twenty-four!) says that oh yes, she knows Kimbella from Miami, but they never hung out because they were on different levels. The wonder of italics! Yandy is a bit embarrassed that she brought the hater and Teairra is confused that someone would be so intense and aggressive if there wasn’t a history between the two women.
Erica won’t even take a breath with her insult hurling, while Teairra begs Yandy to intervene. Kimbella is playing pretty coy, being the bigger person by default. Erica doesn’t even realize that while she’s talking smack about Kimbella’s baby daddy, she’s also talking smack about Yandy’s brother. Erica won’t shut up and Kimbella does the only thing left to do, she throws a drink at her. I love that my new fave Teairra goes running for the hills at this point. Who can blame her? I wouldn’t want wine on my cute outfit either. Yandy tries to break up the now brawling ladies, but they have quite tight grips on each others’ weaves. Kimbella needs to rip off Erica’s solid gold jumpsuit! It takes about five VH1 employees to undue Erica’s death grip on Kimbella’s hair.
Erica, horrified that she is bleeding, calls the police — not because she’s scared — but because she wants revenge. Yandy is beyond disgusted with Erica’s behavior, and Teairra reminds Kimbella that they had just been discussing the importance of keeping in classy. Sidebar, Kimbella’s face looks like she was in a boxing match with a litter of kittens. The ladies high tail it out of the vineyard when they hear sirens approaching.
Next week, Yandy tells Erica that she isn’t her friend and Kimbella realizes which relationships are worth salvaging. She couldn’t care less about Erica, but she hopes to continue making amends with Emily. Chrissy needs a break so she organizes a girls’ trip to Miami… a girls’ trip that is promptly crashed by Jim.
WHAT DID YOU THINK OF LAST NIGHT’S EPISODE? DO YOU THINK A JIM PROPOSAL IS COMING IN MIAMI? WHO WAS IN THE WRONG BETWEEN KIMBELLA AND ERICA?

I am going to need for Kimbella to take the money she earns from whatever it is that she does and invest in boxing lessons. She is literally becoming a human punching bag.
This fight made me like kimbella….she tried as long as she could before snapping! I don’t think she has ill intentions, & I don’t think she did with DINGLE BERRY EMILY, it was just the wrong place wrong time type of thing, but nor was it chrissy’s battle to fight…speaking of chrissy, she just irritates my asshole…with everything she does & says, & I really wanted to like her! If she would watch what we were watching, she’d realize for the same reason we do, why jim doesn’t wanna marry her! Could you imagine being married to that! She NEVER SHUTS UP,& IT’S ONLY GONNA GET WORSE!
What an episode. Sorry but those scratches were far from fake. Homegirl Erica was obviously on a mission to tear that azz up when she met up with Kimbella. She skipped the small talk and went straight for the jugular. How Yandy didn’t see it coming is beyond me.
On another note, Jim clearly loves Chrissy cause she is runnin’ that man. A man in his position doesn’t have to settle down but he clearly has, ring or no ring. Sounds like he didn’t grow up with his father so he didn’t learn first hand how to be a responsible man and commit. Instead he’s running around like a teenager with a pocket full of cash. Chrissy’s aunt and uncle have it together but Jim needs more than a shot of liquor and kitchen counter chat to hook on that ball and chain.
Olivia needs to stay out of Emily’s business and get her shit together. This new insight about her non-relationship with her mom might not be enough to bring her down to human-level. Time will tell whether or not she can get a hit song out of it. From the looks of these she needs to be working on Plans B & C.
Where is Somaya?
Yes I am def Team Kimbella. Erica was way out of line. Like she had beef with Kimbella before hand, and wanted to milk her 5 minutes of fame all at one. But, Kimbella, homegirl, fight back. In the words of Royce Reed: People that throw drinks can’t throw hands.
And I don’t want to think that about Kimbella. First, Chrissy sucker punched you, now you’re doing the sucker ish by throwing a drink, when you just called Chrissy out for doing the same thing.
And this is starting to make me look sideway at Yandy. She is the one who introduced Kimbella to the group, and she got to fighting with Chrissy. Now she invites some new girl, and Kimbella gets to fighting again. I don’t know, just a little strange is all.

I think kimabella and Erica had some past together . Because the way Erica way after kimabella there has to be more to the story then just money. Chrissy i like her alot I really feel she is truely loves Jim for him and not for the money and fame. I hope he wise up and marry her because I know not alot of girls would stay with him. And deal with his crazy ass mother olivia is being good friend to Emily she has a right to worry about her. If Emily didn’t want her friends in her business then she should have not involve any of the girls in her fab drama. I’m happy samyo whatever her name is not there in these two episode she is kinda annoying .

Anyway, if Olivia was being such a “good friend” to Emily then she would be talking to her directly and not behind her back to Teairra. She has a lot of nerve to talk about someone’s relationship drama after that fiasco last season when she lied about being in a relationship with that football player/ Em’s client. Isn’t that why she and Em fell out in the first place? Olivia is so full of shit.

How is Olivia talking to Tearria about Emily situation. Talking behind Emily back when Olivia said the exact some words to Emily the night before. All Olivia was doing voice her concerns about Emily getting hurt all over again . She was being a good friend asking Emily best friend to talk to her again that being good friend.
To some degree i believe that Jim loves Chrissy and i did hear that he gave her a ring i hope it’s not to shut her up. But i still believe that Chrissy needs to find her own way doing something and stop trying to be part of Jim Jones every damn business move. I know she is a smart woman she seems like she got a good head on shoulders, so she should find her own business venture and work on that . It’s ok to be beside your man giving him the support that he needs but must you be part of everything that he does. I think doing something on her own with whatever talent she has would benefit her in the future. As for Olivia it’s going to take a whole lot of soul searching for Olivia to realize that the world don’t owe you SHIT at some point you have to humble yourself and see things for what it is good or bad and learn from them. Her situation with her mom as made her cold and unfortunately she has projected that through her personality. She is not most pleasant person to be around her spirit is damaged and if she seek counsel in dealing with it, it will only get worse and if she ever has a child she will inflict that same pain to her child she is the only one who can end this cycle. With all the pain she has experienced with her mother just can use that in song and maybe use that as therapy and start to heal herself and maybe other young girls that experienced the same thing.
Chrissy…7 years and no ring…u have the house, money, and the opportunity to work on ur career…how will a ring change things for u????

@15 Jessica — Olivia can’t understand Emily’s heart ’cause hers is frozen. When you’re in love and have a child with a man you want it to work. Period. Emily has to walk her own path and Olivia should know — like Teairra said– you can’t tell a grown woman what to do. Olivia is living in a fantasy world when it comes to her career, and also her own love life based on her storyline last season. She obviously knows nothing about being in love. TMZ is claiming that Erica has gone out saying she got the bad edit and wanted VH1 to pull that scene from the show, because she didn’t want it to hurt her “career”.

If that fight was real or any of these scripted fights for that matter, these people would be calling the cops and pressing charges. Emily could have still pressed charges despite Kim fleeing the scene. My goodness, VH1 has it on tape as evidence. All of these glasses being thrown on VH1 shows is too fake! I bet neither girl has/had any lasting bruises or scars. Fake fake fake. Ripping off what Springer did 10 years ago.

The fight was too funny. Yandy is such a ish starter and doesn’t even realize it. She’s always doing some stupid ish and then confused when that mess blows up in her face. The rest of the ladies, Yandy, Kim, Somaya, Erica… I like Yandy but that was not a good look for her to bring Erica. Speaking of which, Erica where was your valid point? You mad that Kim have down “work” for cheap, and that is messing with your money. Ummm, Kim is NOT the only chick in the industry that have lowered her standards to be the next it girl on screen. Heck who wouldn’t work for free if they think its going to get them exposure. I really hope Erica 2 minutes of showtime is up. Somaya is rather boring. And that’s all I can give her.
