Mob Wives star Renee Graziano is taking a break from all the drama the show brings to reveal her battle with depression.
In an interview with HollywoodLife.com, Renee talks about her horrific struggles with the disease that affects so many lives. “I’ve been in therapy on-and-off for the last 20 years. It comes from an abusive relationship when I was 14 with my boyfriend, Frank. No one was aware of the fact that he was abusive in every sense of the word, both physical and emotional.”
Renee’s depression continued to worsen. She states, “It set the ball for me for unhealthy relationships. It got increasingly worse throughout my next two serious relationships and did roll over into my marriage.”
Renee admits, “I also know that I’ve had entitlement issues from a young age because of my father gave me everything. When my father was incarcerated that had something to do with my expectations of people.”
She knows her warning triggers as well. “The first sign for me is I don’t go out of the house. I shut down and hibernate.” She continues, “Depression is like cancer. It’s something we need to pay attention to. It can cause suicide if not dealt with. It is a parent’s responsibility to take care of his or her child, so step up and take charge.” Best wishes to Renee as she continues to spread awareness!
In other Renee news, it seems the reality star is everywhere these days, and well, she should — she’s celebrating life! VH1.com highlights a recent radio interview Renee did with the Breakfast Club where she dishes on a range of topics including her surgery, her own connection to Drita D’Avanzo’s husband Lee D’Avanzo and for the first time discusses the latest with ex-husband Junior Pagan, who was recently exposed as working undercover for the FBI and helping put her father back in jail.

Big Ang looked beautiful and I think with her heart and personality that really shine thru she is still beautiful.
Big Ang is a tall woman and a lot of tall girls never feel girly or feminine growing up because guys are always saying “your tall like a guy” even though it never stops them from hitting on you, you kinda develop a self consciousness about it to where you don’t exactly feel woman enough so that is why you see a lot of taller women turn to feminine enhancing procedures “bigger lips,bigger boobs,bigger butt” and even if you don’t go the plastic procedure route people will still compare you to a transsexual…Kristen Stewart,Khloe Kardashian,Kelly bensimone, Luanne Deleseppes (sp?). My 19 yr old god daughter has this issue and she is very beautiful so I tell her just not to let other peoples standards of beauty define you. Maybe Big Ang didn’t have that.
When I watch this show I keep thinking that Teresa Guidice would be perfect with this cast.
That is horrific about Renee’s plastic surgeon. That place looked so dingy on TV, I can’t believe she went there! Especially being so close to NYC and all of the amazing surgeons she could have gone to.
I hope Big Ang stays on the show! Quite a character.
I love big Ang [her bff] and Ramona … they are great additions 2 the show!
I have fun when the Big Bang theme song starts to play … I change the words to,
“The big big Ang … the reason I’m alive …” LOL.
Loved the Ang cooking scene at her place … sausages and tomatoes to go along with a great antipasti spread … yum (LOL).

I like big Ang as well. She is a hoot. Reminds me of Herman Munster. She laughs like him too. Its hilarious. I would like to see more of her and her partying. lol. Get rid of boring Drita and add big Ang.
Drita’s story line is actually pretty boring. All she talks about is how tough she supposedly is and divorcing Lee. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
Her and Carla are two big snooze fests.
Whether you like it or not, Karen and Ramona bring drama and action to the show.
I say move mob wives to bravo and have bravo do a bit of recasting.
Recast Drita and Carla. Add Big Ang and another mob connected female. Then you will have a show. A big Ang enemy perhaps. lol. That should be fun watching big Ang deal with that situation.
Carla is soo boring!! She has the same facial expression whether she’s fighting, working out, or just having a drink! She is one big snooze fest! She adds nothing to the show.
Crazy that Jr’s gf is the one that was Lee! Reminds me of what Drita was saying in the pool!
Last thing, the clothes they wear on the show are terrible! I was sick of seeing the fur vests!! Yuck!!
LOL @ the person who claimed the doctor was not at fault when I had said weeks ago, surgery centers usually had very poor plastic surgeons working at them.
Pretty much Renee confirmed what I had said, and then took flack for in their post.

Last night, I went to see the movie Joyful Noise and I couldn’t get over what Doll Parton has done to her face! She is super scary and is starting to look like the mask from the movie SAW! What ever happened to aging naturally?????

I adore big Ang and I love when she says the gals need to act like ladies. Cosmetic surgery is popular amongst those who wish to put their best foot forward. Being attractive can open doors for you, but it takes real talent to stay on the otherside of that door once you get in.

Ramona tries too hard to be hard. I do not like when she and Karen are on screen. I don’t like them PERIOD. I love me some Big Ang and Drita… said for her two daughters. Her oldest loves and misses her daddy, it’s very sad.
Her plastic surgeon didn’t kill almost her…… She didn’t follow directions! She sat up right after surg! SHE was the one who almost killed herself!
#44 Cutepie — No your not the only one who feels that way. They removed my previous post that told the truth of who and what these women are. I grew up surrounded by this lifestyle, just not in Staten Island. So I know the truth but apparently can’t tell it here. So yes I am troubled that it’s being glamorized to this extent.

I don’t think anyone who has endured any type of massive surgery has awakened and remembered the Dr.’s orders to a T – Most of us are still drugged out of our minds. Also there are restrains that the Dr. could have used to prevent movement. JMHO

I hear what your saying and I by no means advocate for this lifestyle, for Drita she made a choice for Karen it’s clear her clan was like a band of gypsies (it’s just the way they were raised), for Renee a daddy’s girl she was expected to date within that lifestyle. I think the money and “sad” glory of being the daughter of a feared man kept her from turning away from Junior and men like him. Besides I don’t think her father would have allowed an outsider in their family circle (feds) you have too much trouble trying to keep your crew in line now you have to answer questions and train an outsider. How these women conduct themselves is far from glamorous and to be honest I’m glad this show is on. I have a younger cousin who lives in this are (actually several) and they all think these women have such great lives. Since this show has aired they have all changed the crowds they hang in and started dating and pursuing not “the life” interests. For me it’s entertaining and a bit intriguing to watch but I’m a grown women this will never be my life. This isn’t acting this is real for them. I think America should wake up and not necessarily glamourize but be aware that not everyone lives like the Cunninghams on Happy Days.
You could tell Renee had real feelings for her husband (ex-husband??) Jr’s disappearance probably devastated her. I think she really believed they were going to get back together.
Just saw Big Ang in white tank top on tonights episode. Geesshhh. Those double “H”‘s look ridiculous. Why would you do that to your body?? Dont get me started on her lips…..

I can’t follow Karen’s logic or lack thereof. None of these women seem to want to fight except Romona and Karen and they keep having these aggressive sit downs or conversations that turn into embarrassing public nightmares. I know the show’s producer is Karen’s cousin but please give us a break minimize Karen or cast her off. UGH!!!!!

I’m reading this book titled, “Mob Story” and guess whose name is mentioned several times throughout the book? Drita Davanzo’s husband Lee. Also, Jen Graziano, Karen Gravano and also a friend named Ramona. The book is based on the story of a rat mobster named Chris Paciello. It also mentions Renee’s father Anthony Graziano. But Drita’s husband Lee is mentioned throughout the book. He was ratted out by friends connected with Chris Paciello. The days of the Corleone’s are long gone and frankly, these women are living in those days long past. The mob today is nothing, Nothing like that and frankly, they are all rats today. So many if fact, that the rats don’t hide anymore. Not at all. The mob nowadays consist of bank robbers and drug dealers. These women want you to think of The Godfather mob mentality, but the truth is, that is farrrrr from the truth. Bank robbers, drug dealers and they all snitch. The mob is nothing like it was up until the 80′s. Since then it’s just young street punks robbing five and dime stores, home invasions and stealing. As they get older, it’s bank robbery and drug dealing.

Renee, Drita & Big Ang were on the Elvis Duran morning show Thursday morning. They were not allowed to curse at all w/FCC regulations & if they made it thru interview with no bad language $1,000 would be donated to each womans favorite charity. It was really good interview. Caught most of it but had to go into work at 8:30 so I missed the last 15 minutes. Not sure if all 3 made it thru entire show without cursing-lolol.
By the way, I thank the FBI for doing a good job going after the mob. They are no different than any other criminal who steals, robs old women for their purse. They are trash to society and a heavy financial burden to this country.

These women are frightening!!! And I wouldn’t miss a minute of the shows! However, I think Karen is really ill. She seems so besotted with her ‘toughness’ that she is rended deaf to anything but her own voice. I personally would cut all ties with her. I do believe the way she is able to twist things instantly to her benefit, she could really become dangerous and act out in a physical way. On a lighter note, I like so many others, LOVE THAT BIG ANG!!!

Damn Big Ang!! When I first saw you on the show I was afraid of your face. When you opened your mouth I was like “omg”. But when you speak I feel like “she’s cool maybe she can get them to act like civil people towards one another”. But then I saw your old pic and now I’m like “WTF you do that for?!?!? GRRRRR” Even with aging, your old face would have been a ton better than your current one.

Someone posted last week they read that Junior was living in Idaho as Ron Smith. I was roflmao!! How out of place and Obvious would a Big thuggish looking “New Resident” named SMITH look in Idaho? Stick out like a sore thumb!! I’ll tell you how he would look.. Like someone the FBI and witness protection didn’t really care much about protecting!!!
