The honeymoon is over for NFL player Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson and Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada. Just one month after tying the knot, things took an ugly turn as Chad was arrested last night for head butting Evelyn, causing injuries/lacerations to her face that required her to spend several hours at the hospital.
According to Police Department Capt. Dale Engle, the argument started when she found a receipt for condoms in his car as they drove home from dinner and things escalated from there. Chad swears he head butted her on accident, but police took him away after seeing the lacerations on Eveyln’s forehead.

Engle shared: “It gets pretty heated. By the time they get home here in Davie it’s pretty heated. She alleges he leaned over and head butted her. He says she leaned towards him and that they butted heads. Needless to say she has a good laceration on her forehead.”
It looks like he could be sitting in jail until Monday morning when a bond can be set.
This might put a major kink in their new show “Ev & Ocho“, which is supposed to start airing next month. Kind of hard to swallow a happy look at them preparing for their wedding day after this.
I hope for his sake it was all a crazy accident that their heads collided, because violence like that is never okay.
UPDATED: Chad had a quick hearing this morning and bond was set at $2500, which he’s expected to post soon and will then be released in the next few hours.
