In perhaps the move we all saw coming, Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino is claiming complete and utter ignorance in his tax fraud case.

In case you missed it, on Wednesday, Jersey Shore star, Mike and his brother Marc, both surrendered to authorities on charges of tax fraud. The state of New Jersey claims that Mike did not pay his full tax bill on $8.9 million in earnings. In fact, prosecutors claim he intentionally filed fraudulent returns in order to make it appear he was square with the IRS.

His brother, Marc, was charged with conspiracy to commit tax fraud. Which c0uld have been a sign of the pleas to come, because Mike is claiming it is all his brother’s fault.

According to TMZ, who also broke the news earlier this week, Mike “was kept in the dark on his finances … letting his brother handle all the cash that was pouring in — at least that’s part of the defense Sitch will use in his tax fraud case.”

TMZ also spoke to a source who said that Marc Sorrentino “took control of all of his bro’s business dealings, including; negotiating deals, collecting cash, and filing paperwork … including taxes.”

Mike even claims he only met his accountants once, at their very first meeting. Can he really be that dumb? Or is Mike’s main problem that he trusted his brother that much? The same brother that he owns a troubled tanning salon with, that he got into a fist fight right outside of.

If Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino really wants to claim ignorance, perhaps his lawyers should just bring a few old episodes of Jersey Shore to court. He will be found not guilty in no time.
