E! Adds Two New Shows: Jillian Michaels Docuseries ‘Just Jillian’ And Joel McHale’s ‘Comment Section’

Jillian Michaels New Show 'Just Jillian'

Jillian Michaels is returning to reality TV with a new docuseries called Being Jillian, which follows the former ragey trainer of The Biggest Loser as she juggles family alongside her fitness and health business. Additionally Joel McHale will be expanding on his The Soup ‘tales from the week’ concept by executive producing a a new show focusing on snarking snark from outrageous and hilarious website comments found throughout the internet. <Crossing-Fingers Reality Tea makes an appearance!>

In Just Jillian, Jillian “strips down and bares it all” for an intimate and revealing docu-follow which exposes the real Jillian; thus giving viewers an “authentic, unfiltered look inside this surprisingly sensitive superstar’s private world and family.”

Revealing that the true Jillian is lightyears away from the aggressive trainer she portrayed on The Biggest Loser, an image Jillian has struggled to shed splitting from the show. Jillian claimed Biggest Loser producers forced the “tough-as-nails” persona on her to boost ratings, even though she didn’t agree with their approaches or ideologies

Since leaving the network show, Jillian has branched out into her own world-famous fitness and health business while retaining her no-nonsense approach, in addition she’s also expanded her family by becoming a mother. Jillian is eager to demonstrate that her “tough-as-nails personality that captured legions of fans on ‘The Biggest Loser’ is only one aspect” of who she is as she opens herself up for viewers to witness “business, family, friendships, victories, failures, laughter, tears and everything in between,” reveals Deadline

Going in a different direction, E! has also green-lighted a new half-hour comedy series executive produced The Soup host Joel McHale. In ‘The Comment Section’ comedian Michael Kosta explores and snarks all “the biggest stories of the week and all of the outrageous and hilarious comments made about them on social media.”

Going where no show has gone before, Michael will break down the fourth wall between the “most dangerous corners of the internet,” – the comment sections! There Michael and Joel will “take out the haters, anoint the heroes and generate an all new brand of laughs from the biggest pop culture stories of the week” to as he focuses on “deconstructing snarky comments.”
